PRESS NOTE ON ONRGANIZING CIVIL SERVICE DAY

Today Civil Service Day organized in this district in the conference hall Mini Secretariat Mandi. Sh. Vivke Chandel, HAS, ADM Mandi presided over the function. Sh. Kulbhushan Verma, HPS, Addl. S.P. Mandi, Sh. Hitender Lakhanpan, HPS, DY.S.P. (Hqrs) Mandi along with officers of other various departments were also present on the occasion.

          Sh. Hitesh Lakhanpal, HPS, Dy.S.P. (Hqrs) Mandi  delivered a presentation on this occasion on citizen centric services delivered by the Mandi Police during the year 2015-16:-

1. Traffic management in Mandi town as well as in entire district Mandi, to establish the Police Pickets (Gumati), installation of electronic road safety equipments on roads of Mandi district(Cat Eyes, Blinkers, Flashers, Reflectors, Solar Studs etc).

2. On conducting of PRIs elections during the  2015-16 at all 3003 polling booths of this district peacefully and without any hastle.

3. To maintain the law & order properly during  International Shivratri Fair-2016. Use of CCTV cameras to nab the culprits/miscreants.

4.  On detection work done during the year 2015-16 by Mandi Police in this district under NDPS Act, Excise Act and Forest Act as per below chart:-

5. How to Police respond on natural calamities being the first responder on such natural calamities and disasters.

6. On various schemes of Community Policing Schemes launched by the Police Department in Himachal Pradesh. Total 137 beats established in this district and one police official is deputed in each beat. Total 34 senior citizens registered with Mandi Police and beat constables are providing necessary assistance to the individual in this district time to time. 12 Police Assistance Rooms are also established in this district. Every third Sunday of  each month is being observed as Victim Day in each police station of  this district. Total 252 victims/ complainants were attended during the year 2015-16 in all police stations of this district. Under Sahyog Yojna all G.Os. of Mandi Police visited the  villages, Panchayats and schools/colleges. During the year 2015-16 total 553 vilages, 75 Panchayats and 37 schools/colleges were visited. Similarly under Samarth Yojna of Community Policing Scheme total 10828 girls students of 267 schools of this district were trained in unarmed combat course during the year 2015-16. 

7. Out Standing Works 2015-16 by Police Officials. Following Police officials have done excellent job for better traffic management in Mandi, Effecting maximum recoveries in theft cases, huge detection in NDPS and providing prompt and excellent administrative & civil services.
