PRESS NOTE ON 08/11/2016

                                               

MONTHLY   JOINT CONSULTANCY COMMITTEE-CUM-WELFARE AND CRIME MEETING HELD ON 08/11/2016

 

            Today  Monthly  Joint  Consultancy Committee-cum- Crime  Meeting  of District Police   Mandi   held   under the  chairmanship of  the undersigned  in Kamaksha  hall at Police Lines, Mandi   in which  all the  gazetted  officers of Mandi Police i.e.   Sh. Kulbhushan Verma, HPS Addl. S.P. Mandi, Sh. Hitesh Lakhanpal, HPS  Dy.Supdt. of Police, (Hqrs.) Mandi, Sh. Sanjeev Bhatia,HPS SDPO Sundernagar and  Sh. Madan Dhiman, HPS SDPO Sarkaghat, all SHOs of Mandi District, Incharge Traffic Mandi,  all Incharges of Police Posts of Mandi Distict and  about 75 police  officials  of  Mandi Police  participated.

          First of all during the Joint Consultancy-cum-Welfare Meeting, the undersigned   redress  the  welfare issues of  police personnel whereas issues pertaining with higher authorities for their redressal are being sent to the  concerned authorities to redress the issues on priority basis.  

          All SHOs, I/C PPs and all police officials of Mandi Police were directed by the undersigned to check the traffic properly and regulate the traffic smoothly in the jurisdiction of their respective police station, police posts and units. Special drives are to be launched to check the licences, over speeding, overloading, rash & negligent driving, stereos and hearing of mobile phones while driving of all  private buses & bikers in view to avoid the accidents. A special campaign was launched yesterday to check the violations of M.V. Act by  private buses in District Mandi in which 250 offenders were challaned and fine of Rs. 26,100/-   was imposed and realized from them.   

          The undersigned also directed that owners of the privates buses are to be briefed properly during the course of meetings of Road Safety Clubs held in their respective P.Ss/P.Ps that to appoint the skilled drivers & to check the driving licenses properly before their appointments in view to save the precious lives. Use of pressure horns and mobile phones are to be banned totally in the jurisdiction of their respective police station and police posts. Special awareness drives are also to be launched in the jurisdiction of their respective P.Ss/PPs. He also directed all SHOs & I/C P.Ps. to take concrete steps to reduce/decrease the road accidents in their respective jurisdiction.

 

          Today during the course of Monthly  Joint  Consultancy Committee-cum- Crime  Meeting  of District Police Mandi, following persons of the Truck Union Mandi were also invited by the Mandi Police in Kamaksha hall at P.L. Mandi and they were honoured and awarded by Sh. Prem Kumar Thakur, IPS, Superintendent of Police, District Mandi (HP) on behalf of Mandi Police with commendation certificate class-III and cash amounting to Rs. 500/- to each for rendering best services during the course of rescue operation of accident of a private bus took place near Bindrabani, Mandi (HP) on 05/11/2016:-

5.     Sh. Shashi Kumar @ Sunil S/O Sh. Kesar Singh R/O Vill. Batehar PO Saigalu Tehsil Kotli Distt. Mandi (HP)

                    In addition to above, other members of Truck Union and public who rendered good services were also appreciated. Necessary directions were also issued by the undersigned during said meeting  to all S.Os., all SHOs & I/C P.Ps. to reduce the numbers of missing persons, to  apprehend proclaimed offenders  and to reduce the cases pending for investigation with priority.  He  also directed  all  SOs, SHOs and Incharges of Police Posts of this district that  sincere  efforts  are to be  taken   to deal with  all the cases  of missing/abduction of children.

          The undersigned  also conveyed that overall situation and Law & Order situation remained peace-full in this district. All concerned are also directed strictly to maintain the law & order properly & effectively.  Necessary directions were also issued to the all concerned to remain vigilant and intensify the patrolling in their respective jurisdiction.

          Special campaign against drug menace/drug peddlers to be continued and constant efforts are to be made to nab the kingpins/main suppliers of drugs in view to save the young generation from the menace of drugs. All SHOs & I/C PPs were also directed to enhance the detection work under NDPS Act, Mining Act & Excise Act.

             During the course of Crime Meeting all cases which are pending for investigation were  discussed comprehensively and necessary directions and guidelines were issued to all individuals to complete the investigation of these cases with utmost priority and put the challans in the courts immediately.
