PRESS NOTE ON 27/01/14

POLICE DEPARTMENT                     MANDI DISTRICT 

                                         

1. Case FIR No. 8/14 dated 26/01/14 U/S  20 of NDPS Act  has been registered in P.S. BSL Colony by ASI Rajender Thakur I.O. of P.S. BSL Colony Sundernagar that on 26/01/14 he was on patrolling along with other police officials at   Jatt Nala and during he course of patrolling he recovered   70 gram cannabis (charas)  from the possession of  Duni Chand S/O Sh. Chet Ram R/O Jong PO Mehandi Tehsil Karsog Distt. Mandi. Accused has been arrested and further investigation of the case is being carried out by  ASI Rajender Thakur I.O. of P.S. PS BSL Colony Sundernagar.

2. Case FIR No. 24/14 dated  26/01/14 U/S 451,323,504 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sarkaghat  on the complaint of Sh Kewal  Krishan S/O Sh. Hans Raj R/O  VPO Baldwara Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt.  Mandi HP that  on 26/01/14  at about  1.30 PM  he was sitting in his courtyard in the mean time Rakesh Kumar S/O Sh. Ranjeet Singh R/O vill. Balara Tehsil Sarkaghat Mandi entered in his houe and beat him up. HC Chaman Lal No. 28 I.O. of P.P. Hattli is investigating the case.

 3. Case FIR No. 32/14 dated 26/01/14 U/S 39 of H.P.  Ex. Act has been registered in P.S.  Sadar Mandi by  Inspr. Parkash Chand Incharge SIU Mandi that on 26/01/14  he was on Patrolling along with other police officials and during the course of patrolling he recovered 9 bottles of country liquor from the possession of  Deepak Thakur S/O Sh. Man Singh R/O Vill Sambal PO Bijni Tehsil Sadar  Distt Mandi (HP).  Inspr. Parkash Chand Incharge SIU Mandi is investigating the case.  

4. 33 vehicles were challaned and compounded to Rs.  1900/-     and 1 challan  made under COTPA & fined  Rs.100/- .
