INSTALLATION OF CCTV SECURITY CAMERAS IN MANDI TOWN AREAS
1. CCTV security cameras were installed in Mandi town areas i.e. at
Seri Manch, Near Mahamrityunjay Temple, near new bridge of Mandi town,
near Syndicate Bank Mandi, at Gandhi Chowk Mandi and Chauhatta bazaar
Mandi were inaugurated today by Sh. Devesh Kumar, IAS, Deputy
Commissioner, District Mandi (HP).
CASE OF ROAD ACCIDENT
2. Case FIR No. 90/12 dated 05/06/12 U/S 279,337,304A IPC has been
registered in P.S. Jogindernagar by ASI Subhash Chand I/C P.P. Bassi
that at about 08.30 AM he received information that a vehicle met with
an accident. On this he rushed to the spot along with other police
officials and found that vehicle (HP29A-4215 Alto LXI) fell down from
the road about 300 mtrs. downward and Raj Kumar S/O Sh. Bansi Lal R/O
Upper Bhoranj Tehsil Barsar District Hamirpur died on the spot and
another person namely Gyan Chand S/O Sh. Lala Ram R/O Vill. Langna PO
Chimhanu Tehsil Jogindernagar sustained injuries. ASI Subhash Chand
I/C PP Bassi is investigating the case.
CASE OF CRIMINAL TRESPASS, RASH & NEGLIGENT ACT, OFFENCES AGAINST
PUBLIC SERVANTS AND MISCHIEF
3. Case FIR No. 66/12 dated 04/06/12 U/S 451,336,353,427,34 IPC has
been registered in P.S. Gohar on the complaint of Sh. Surender Pal S/O
Sh. Thaliya Ram R/O Vill. Sayah PO Lohara Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi
C/O Chowkidar Ld. SDJM Court Complex Gohar Tehsil Chachiot Distt.
Mandi that on 04/06/12 at about 09.15 PM he was on his duty at Ld.
SDJM Court Complex Gohar, in the mean time Mahinder Pal Sharma entered
in court complex and blew out the air of the tyres of a car and
M/Cycle and they also pelted stones upon the complainant and court
complex. HC Inder Dev No. 35 I.O. of P.S. Gohar is investigating the
case.
CASE OF DEATH DUE TO FALLING
4. Brikam Singh S/O Sh. Charnu Ram R/O Vill. Bot PO Devdhar Tehsil
Chachiot Distt. Mandi died on 03/06/12 due to falling from a tree at
his native place. Proceeding U/S 174 Cr.P.C. was carried out by the
local police of P.S. Gohar.
CASE OF RASH AND NEGLIGENT ACT
5. Case FIR No. 92/12 dated 04/60/12 U/S 285 IPC has been registered
in P.S. Dehar on the written complaint of Sh. Gulaba Ram S/O Sh. Ganga
Ram R/O Vill. Jayor PO Jambla Tehsil Sundernagar Distt. Mandi that on
30/05/12 Satish Kumar S/O Sh. Tulsi Ram resident of same locality
brunt the garden of mangoes of the complainant. HC Hem Raj No.19 I.O.
P.P. Dehar is investigating the case.

CASE OF PREVENTIVE ARREST
6. Accused Lalit Kumar S/O Late Sh. Sita Ram R/O Vill. Alsu Tehsil
Sundernagar Distt. Mandi was arrested U/S 107/151 Cr.P.C. by ASI Gulab
Singh I/C PP Dehar who is being produced before the SDM Sundernagar.
CASE OF ARREST OF PROCLAIMED OFFENDER
7. Today PO Cell Team-B of district Mandi headed by Head Constable
Nand Lal No. 66 arrested a Proclaimed Offender Dhabe Ram @ Man Singh
S/O Sh. Chet Ram R/O Raha PO Nagwain Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi who was
wanted in case FIR No. 111/06 dated 17/09/2006 U/S 451,336,504 IPC and
declared Proclaimed Offender on 13/07/2011 by the Ld. Court of CJM
Mandi. Above accused person is being produced before the Ld. Court.
CASE OF ROAD ACCIDENT
8. Case FIR No. 143/12 dated 05/06/12 U/S 279,337,304A IPC has been
registered in P.S. Sarkaghat by ASI Ajit Singh I/C PP Hattli that on
04/06/12 at about 09.45 PM Naresh Verma S/O Sh. Hem Raj R/O Bhoran PO
Chowk Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi and Chuni Lal S/O Sh. Sohan Lal
R/O Bhoran PO Chowk Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi were coming from
Ambla Galu by a car (HP33T-9284) which was driven by Naresh Verma and
when they reached near Duganala, Naresh Kumar lost control over it and
said car rolled down from the road and Chuni Lal died in this mishap.
ASI Ajit Singh I/C PP Hattli is investigating the case.
CASE OF RIOTING, CRIMINAL TRESPASS, HURT AND INTIMIDATION
9. Case FIR No. 140/12 dated 04/06/12 U/S 147,149,447,323,504 IPC has
been registered in P.S. Sarkaghat on the complaint of Smt. Prakashi
Devi W/O Sh. Kanshi ram R/O VPO Kashmaila Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt.
Mandi that on 04/06/12 at about 11.30 AM Beasa Devi W/O Sh. Bija Ram,
Shashi Bala W/O Sh. Pal, Kunta Devi D/O Sh. Bija Ram, Bija Ram and
Ritu all resident of Kashmaila were beaten to her and her husband and
they sustained injuries. ASI Ajit Singh I/C PP Hattli is investigating
the case.
CASE OF OBSTRUCTING WAY, HURT AND CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION
10. Case FIR No. 141/12 dated 04/06/12 U/S 341,323,506 IPC has been
registered in P.S. Sarkaghat on the written complaint of Smt. Veena
Devi W/O Sh. Bishi Chand R/O VPO Kangu-Ka-Gehra Tehsil Sarkaghat
Distt. Mandi that on 04/06/12 at about 02.30 PM, Rajesh Kumar S/O Sh.
Roshan Lal VPO Kangu-Ka-Gehra Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi beat up
her and her daughter-in-law Anjana Devi and they sustained injuries.
CASE OF OBSTRUCTING WAY, HURT AND CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION
11. Case FIR No. 142/12 dated 04/06/12 U/S 341,323,504,506 IPC has
been registered in P.S. Sarkaghat on the complaint of Sh. Roshan Lal
R/O VPO Kangu-Ka-Gehra Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi that on 04/06/12
at about 12.30 PM, Manjeet Singh S/O Sh. Bidhi Chand VPO
Kangu-Ka-Gehra Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi obstructed his way and
beat him up and he sustained injuries. ASI Rajender Kumar I.O. of P.S.
Sarkaghat is investigating the case.
ARREST OF ACCUSED IN PREVIOUS CASE
12. Accused Shanta Kumar S/O Sh. Churamani VPO Gharwasra Tehsil
Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi, Churamani S/O Sh. Sarwanu VPO Gharwasra Tehsil
Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi, Bimla Devi W/O Sh. Churamani VPO Gharwasra
Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi was arrested by SI Kripal Singh who were
wanted in case FIR No. 86/12 dated 07/04/12 U/S 302, 34 IPC.
CHALLAN
13. 61 challans were issued and fine of Rs. 10,500/- was recovered
under M.V. Act, 121 challans were issued under COTPA and fine of Rs.
17,600/- was recovered and 5 challan were issued under Mining Act
during last 24 hours.
