CRIME REPORT 3 MARCH

REQUEST/INSTRUCTIONS TO AVOID FINANCIAL CHEATINGS (LOTTERY FRAUDS, JOB FRAUDS etc.)

1. In view of increasing trend of cheating by way of fake lotteries, district police Mandi is hereby requesting to the all heads of the financial institutions/banks of Mandi district that strict vigil/surveillance to be kept in their respective institution/bank as peoples of the jurisdictions of their respective financial institution/bank are whether to be depositing the amounts in different accounts, if so then these accounts should also be examined randomly as the account holder is known by the depositor or not.

Similar advices should also be put on certain boards on the noticeable places of the building of their respective banks/financial institutions indicating a precaution/alert for not depositing the amount in the unidentified account numbers.

General masses are also requested that no amount to be deposited in any unknown account number in future to avoid any financial destruction/fraud with them. If any temptation/lure to be offered by some unknown callers/persons as well as through SMS, appropriate clarification/suggestion must to be taken from the personnel of banks/financial institutions before depositing of amount in any unknown account number. Any police assistance is required in this connection SMS to 9459100100 or on-line complaints to be lodged through web portals www.hppolice.nic.in or www.mandipolice.blogspot.com.

CASE OF ACCIDENT

2. Case FIR No. 18/12 dated 03/03/12 U/S 279,337 IPC has been registered in P.S. BSL Colony Sundernagar Distt. Mandi on the complaint of Sh. Som Krishan S/O Late Sh. Devki Nandan R/O Tamproh PO Dayargi Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that today at about 08.05 AM he was waiting for bus at Masoh, in the mean time a HRTC bus (HP31B-7505)came from Sundernagar side, in the mean time a M/Cycle (HP33T-9716) came from Baggi side and struck with the backside tyre of above bus due to rash and negligent riding of M/Cycle rider and both occupants of above M/cycle namely Surender Kumar & Om Chand sustained injuries. HC Chint Ram No. 873 I.O.of P.S. BSL Colony is investigating the case.

CASE OF CHEATING AND CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY

3. Case FIR No. 46/12 dated 02/03/12 U/S 420,120B IPC has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Sh. Budhi Singh S/O Sh. Laihru Ram R/O Vill. Thana Chowki PO Bhetara Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mand R/O Vill. Thana Chowki PO Bhetara Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi at present H.No. 186/8 Darmayana Muhalla Mandi that on 27/02/12 he received call from phone No. 923326944177 in his mobile No. 9817809142 that he has won a lottery of Rs. 5 lakh and to withdraw above amount he has to deposit a sum of Rs. 9200/- in ICICI bank account No. 016301548816 and he deposited the amount of Rs. 9200/- in above account. On 28/02/12 he again received a call from phone No. 9233226070715 in his phone No. 9817809142 that MD is not signing the check in favour of you and you have to be again deposit a sum of Rs 18200/- in account No. 047201506253 of ICICI bank and he deposited again sum of Rs. 18200/- again in above account. After depositing above amount twice he didn't received any cheque but he received again a call from phone No. 9233260715 to deposit sum of Rs. 6000/- in account No. 0171001503246 in the name of Pramod Kumar and a cheque of Rs. 25 lac will be be sent to him. On receiving this call he refused to deposit any amount with them and amount was deposited by him with them to be returned back to him but thereafter there is no response from above calling party. ASI Sawarnroop Singh is investigating the case.

CASE OF OBSTRUCTING WAY AND HURT

4. Case FIR No. 29/12 dated 02/03/12 U/S 341,325,34 IPC has been registered in P.S. Jogindernagar on the complaint of Sh. Nand Lal S/O Sh. Ishwar Dass R/O Bharon PO Ropari Kelharu Tehsil Ladbharol Distt. Mandi that on 25/02/12 he opened the tap for taking water, in the mean time Suti Devi and Raju S/O Lohku Ram came there, obstructed his way and beaten him up. HC Rajesh Kumar No. 907 I.O. of PP Ladbharol is investigating the case.

CASE OF CHEATING AND FORGERY

5. Case FIR No. 47/12 dated 03/03/12 U/S 420,468,471 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sarkaghat on the enquiry report of the S.P. SV&ACB Central Range Mandi that as per the record of "Parivar Register" obtained from Gram Panchayat Thauna date of birth of Bansi Ram S/O Sh. Lal Mann R/O Vill. Karnal PO Thauna Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi and school leaving certificate issued from Govt. Primary School Chahari date of birth of above Bansi Lal is not matching. Hence, certificate issued in favour of above Bansi Ram was prepared fraudulently. ASI Mohinder Singh is investigating the case.

CASE OF OBSTRUCTING WAY AND OFFENCES AGAINST PUBLIC SERVANTS

6. Case FIR No. 48/12 dated 03/03/12 U/S 341/353/332 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sarkaghat on the complaint of Sh. Surender Kumar S/O Sh. Krishan Dayal R/O Chhaprah PO Lada Tehsil Ghumarwin Distt. Bilaspur that he is serving as conductor in HRTC depot Bilaspur. Today at about 8 AM when he reached in Bus Stand Dharampur by a HRTC bus (HP24A-5768) which was bound from Parwanoo to Baijnath, in the mean time Kashmir Singh driver-cum-owner of Maruti Van (HP28-0993) obstructed his way and beaten him up. ASI Shushil Kumar I/C PP Dharampur is investigating the case.

VISIT OF SCHOOL CHILDREN TO POLICE STATION

7. Today about 250 students of Lord Convent School Sarkaghat visited Police Station Sarkaghat to learn about the functioning of police.

CASE OF CRIMINAL TRESPASS, OBSTRUCTING WAY AND CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION

8. Case FIR No. 25/12 dated 02/03/12 U/S 447,341,504,506,34 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sundernagar on the complaint of Smt. Gangi Dev W/O Late Sh. Santu Ram VPO Kapahi Tehsil Sundernagar Distt. Mandi that on 02/03/12 she was going to her fields, in the mean time Ram Singh S/O Sh. Shanti Devi, Shanti Devi W/O Sh. Budhu Ram and Bimla Devi entered in her fields, obstructed her way and beaten her up. ASI Jashveer Singh is investigating the case.

CHALLANS

9. 57 challans were issued and fine of Rs. 9,900/- was recovered under M.V. Act during the last 24 hours. 12 Challans were issued under COTPA and fine of Rs.1200/- was recovered.
