WINNERS OF OPEN HALF MARATHON-2015 (MALE & FEMALE)
1.Today District Police Mandi organized open half marathon (male & female) on the eve of International Shivratri Fair-2015 which was flagged off by Sh. Sandeep Kadam, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Mandi, District Mandi (HP) from historic Seri Manch. Chief Guest, Sh. Sandeep Kadam, IAS, also distributed prizes in the presence of Sh. Mohit Chawla, IPS worthy S.P. Mandi and other senior officers of the district administration among the winners. In this event 123 participants (male = 94 and female= 29 ) participated.
Names of winners of half marathon (male category) are as under:-
(a) Sh. Rakesh Kumar S/O Sh. Balak Ram R/O Gaura PO Gaggal Tehsil Balh Distt. Mandi (HP) secured 1st position and awarded with cash prize of Rs.12,000/-.
(b) Sh. Vinod Kumar S/O Sh. Jagdish R/O Vill. Rang PO Dangar Tehsil Ghumarwin Distt. Bilaspur (HP), secured 2nd position and awarded with cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-.
(c) Sh. Ram Kishore S/O Sh. Desh Raj R/O Vill. Ubak PO Kuthera Tehsil & Distt. Hamirpur (HP), secured 3rd position and awarded with cash prize of Rs.6,000/-.
Names of winners of half marathon (female category) are as under:-
(a) Miss Manju D/O Sh. Sarwan R/O Vill. Mandir Tanda PO Dhawan Tehsil Balh Distt. Mandi (HP) secured 1st position and awarded with cash prize of Rs. 12,000/-.
(b) Miss Heena Thakur D/O Sh. Inder Singh C/O STC Dharmshala Distt. Kangra (HP) secured 2nd position and awarded with cash prize of Rs. 10,000/-.
(c) Miss Neha Kumari D/O Sh. Tara Chand VPO Kakriar Tehsil Tauni Devi Distt. Hamirpur (HP), secured 3rd position and awarded with cash prize of Rs. 6,000/-.

Chhattar PO Jalpehar Tehsil Jogindernagar Distt. Mandi (HP) and Sh. Ramesh Kumar S/O Sh. Nanak Chand R/O Vill. Rao Pali PO Chunahan Tehsil Balh Distt. Mandi (HP) in male category secured next top five position respectively and awarded with consolation prize of Rs. 500/- each.
Similarly Miss. Pooja D/O Sh. Kishori Lal R/O Palati PO Balh Kawar Tehsil Ladbharol Distt. Mandi (HP), Miss Gargi D/O Sh. Kamal Dev C/O STC Dharamshala Distt. Kangra (HP), Miss Anjali Devi D/O Sh. Sawaroop Chand R/O Vill. Chulla PO Tulah Tehsil Ladbharol Distt. Mandi (HP), Miss Arpna D/O Sh. Desh Raj R/O Bairu PO Tullah Tehsil Ladbhrol Distt. Mandi (HP) and Miss Bhagyawati D/O Sh. Gambhir Singh R/O Vill. Matkehru PO Drubal Tehsil Jogindernagar Distt. Mandi (HP) in female category secured next top five position respectively and awarded with consolation prize of Rs. 500/- each.
CASE OF NDPS ACT
2. Case FIR No. 36/15 dated 07/02/15 U/S 20 of NDPS Act has been registered in P.S. Balh by HC Dharmender No. 77 I.O. of P.S. Balh that on 07/02/15 at about 9 PM he was on patrolling along with other police officials at Nerchowk bazaar and during the course of patrolling he recovered 109 gram cannabis (Charas) from the possession of Sumit Kumar S/O Sh. Moti Ram R/O Vill. Bada Gurudwara Mustafa Jagadhari Distt. Yamunanagar (Haryana). Accused has been arrested and further investigation is being carried out by HC Dharmender No. 77 I.O. of P.S. Balh.
CASE OF NDPS ACT
3. Case FIR No. 37/15 dated 08/02/15 U/S 20 of NDPS Act has been registered in P.S. Balh by Inspr. Chet Singh SHO P.S. Balh that on 08/02/15 he laid a nakka along with other police officials at Nagchala and during the course of nakka he recovered 1 KG 600 Gram cannabis (Charas) from the possession of Naresh Bahadur Shai S/O Sh. Man Bahadur Shai R/O Vill. Tolkhan PO TImsa Tehsil Anchal Distt. Jajrkot Nepal. Accused has been arrested and further investigation is being carried out by Inspr. Chet Singh SHO P.S. Balh.
CASE OF NDPS ACT
4. Case FIR No.33/15 dated 08/02/15 U/S 20 of NDPS Act has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi by SI Sandeep Sharma Incharge Police Post City Mandi that today he along with other police officials laid nakka at Victoria bridge Mandi and during the course of nakka he recovered 1 KG 240 Gram cannabis(charas) from the possession of Ram Lal S/O Sh. Mushu Ram R/O Vill. Bhujling PO Lohardi Sub Tehsil Multhan Distt. Kangra (HP) . Accused has been arrested and further investigation of the case is being carried out by SI Sandeep Sharma Incharge P.P. City Mandi (HP).
CASE OF CRIMINAL TRESPASS, HURT AND CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION
5. Case FIR No. 30/15 dated 07/02/15 U/S 451,323,504,506,34 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Smt. Bindra Devi W/O Sh. Diwan Chand R/O Vill. Janjohi Tehsil Kotmorse Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi (HP) that on 06/02/15 Shiv Dass resident of the same locality entered along with his wife and two sons in her courtyard and beat her up and they also threatened to her and her husband with dire consequences. Investigation of the case is on progress.

6. Case FIR No. 32/15 dated 07/02/15 U/S 279,336 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Sh. Dharub Jamwal S/O Sh. Mahender Singh Jamwal R/O H. No. 140/11 Tarna Hills Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi (HP) that on 07/02/15 he was travelling by his car (HP33b-3388) and when crossing the Gandhi Chowk Mandi, in the mean time a car (HP65-4382) came very rashly, hit his car from the back side and thereafter hit the shutter of a shop which was driven by Amil Sharma S/O Sh. Brij Lal R/O H. No. 92/13 Paddal Muhalla Mandi (HP). HC Bhagat RamNo. 905 I.O. of P.P. City Mandi is investigating the case.
CASE OF EXCISE ACT
7. Case FIR No. 31/15 dated 07/02/15 U/S 39 of H.P. Excise Act has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi by ASI Hem Raj I.O. of P.S. Sadar Mandi that on 07/02/15 he was on patrolling along with other police officials and during the course of patrolling he recovered 5 bottles of Una No. from the possession of Gagan Pradeep s/o Sh. Ravinder Singh R/O Janed PO Marathu Teshil Sadar Distt. Mandi (HP). ASI Hem Raj I.O. of P.S. Sadar Mandi is investigating the case.
CASE OF EXCISE ACT
8. Case FIR NO. 28/15 dated 07/02/15 U/S 39 of H.P. Excise Act has been registered in P.S. Karsog by SI Sunil Kumar SHO P.S. Karsog that he was on patrolling along with other police officials and during the course of patrolling he recovered 5 bottles of Una No. 1 from the possession of Som Krishan S/O Sh. Narsinghu R/O Panjrat PO Karsog Distt. Mandi (HP). SI Sunil Kumar SHO P.S. Karosg is investigating the case.
CASE OF EXCISE ACT
9. Case FIR No. 21/15 dated 07/02/15 U/S 39 of H.P. Excise Act has been registered in P.S. Jogindernagar by ASI Binod Singh Incharge P.P. Ladbharol that he was on patrolling along with other police officials and during the course of patrolling he recovered 14 bottles of Una No. and 3 bottles of beer from the possession of Vinod Kumar S/O Sh. Bidhu Ram R/O Vill. Kathon PO Panjalag Tehsil Ladbharol Distt. Mandi (HP). ASI Vinod Singh incharge P.P. Ladbharol is investigating the case.
CASE OF EXCISE ACT
10. Case FIR No. 10/15 dated 08/02/15 U/S 39 of H.P. Excise Act has been registered in P.S. Aut by ASI Rajesh Kumar I.O. of P.S. Aut that he was on patrolling along with other police officials and during the course of patrolling he recovered 50 cartons (600 bottles) of country liquor from a jeep (CH01-TA-4228) possessed by Harbans Singh S/O Sh Gian Singh R/O Vill. Dangra Tehsil Dehra Distt. Kangra (HP) and Ram Prakash S/O Sh. Ram Krishan R/O Vill. Cheli Tehsil Ghumarwin Distt. Bilaspur (HP). ASI Rajesh Kumar I.O. of P.S. Aut is investigating the case.
CASE OF CRIMINAL TRESPASS AND CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION
11. Case FIR No. 17/15 dated 07/02/15 U/S 451,504,506,34 IPC has been registered in P.S. Gohar on the complaint of Sh. Jethu Ram S/O Sh. Chetru Ram R/O VPO Shalla Tehsil Chachiot Distt. Mandi (HP) that on 07/02/15 Prem Singh S/O Sh. Bahru Ram, Mittar Dev S/O Sh. Devu Ram, Mehar Singh S/O Sh. Jhalia Ram VPO Shalla Tehsil Chahiot entered in his courtyard and threatened to him and his family with dire consequences. HC Inder Dev No. 35 I.O. of P.S. Gohar is investigating the case.
CASE OF RASH AND NEGLIGENT ACT AND HURT
12. Case FIR No. 47/15 dated 08/02/15 U/S 336,323 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sarkaghat on the complaint of Smt. Shakuntla Devi W/O Sh. Ram Singh R/O Vill. Sanaiharu PO Bhambla Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi (HP) that on 07/02/15 Manoj Kumar S/O Sh. Suresh Kumar pushed her grandfather Sh. Parma Ram in courtyard and he sustained injuries.
CHALLAN
13. 169 vehicles were challaned and compounded to Rs. 26,100/- and 22 challans made under COTPA & fined Rs. 2200/-.
