       DESTRUCTION  OF  CONTRABANDS                            

Mandi Police, in its special drive against the illegal trade of drugs has recovered a large quantity of Cannabis (Charas) & Contrabands from drug dealers/ drug peddlers. As per law, said seized Cannabis & contrabands in which no appeal is pending with any court of law is to be destroyed. A Drug Disposal Committee is constituted for the destruction of seized cannabis & contrabands headed by the undersigned comprising Sh. Kulbhushan Verma, Addl. SP Mandi, Sh. Anil Dhaulta, SDPO Padhar, Sh. Madan Dhiman, SDPO Sarkaghat and SHOs of concerned Police Station along with two independent witnesses and has burnt this seized cannabis & others drugs at Police Lines Mandi  today  at 11:00 AM in the presence of Worthy I.G.P., Central Range Mandi  Sh. Ajay Kumar Yadav who presided over the entire proceedings of destruction. The detail of Cannabis (Charas) & Contrabands is as under:-

Mandi Police is committed and will be continuing the campaigns in future so as to prevent usage of illegal drugs by youth and to curb illegal drug trade. The seized cannabis (Charas) and other banned drugs will also be destroyed in future as well.
