CASE OF NARCOTICS

1. Case FIR No. 16/12 dated 27/02/12 U/S 18,20 of ND&PS Act has been registered in P.S. Aut by HC Prakam Singh No. 904 that today at about 10 AM he was on patrolling along with other police personnel at Jhalogi, in the mean time Balak Ram @ Ram Nath S/O Sh. Karmu R/O Vill. Tahula PO Thalout Distt. Mandi came from Tahula side and on suspicion his personal search was carried out and he recovered 10 gram cannabis (charas) and 5 gram opium from his possession. Accused has been arrested and further investigation of the case is on progress. HC Prakam Singh No. 904 is investigating the case.

CASE OF ACCIDENT

2. A case FIR No. 51/12 dated 26/02/12 U/S 279,337 IPC and U/S 187 M.V. Act has been registered in P.S. Balh on the complaint of Sh. Inder Singh S/O Sh. Gurmukh Ram R/O Vill. Bhayarta PO Chunahan Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 26/02/12 he was going by his M/Cycle (HP33A-2770) towards Sundernagar and when he reached at Dadaur, in the mean time a jeep came from Dadour side and his M/Cycle and he fell down on the road and sustained injuries. SI Chhotta Ram is investigating the case.

ATTACK BY LEOPARD

3. Today Thakur Dass S/O Sh. Gawanu Ram R/O Vill. Chhatru PO Kummi Distt. Mandi reported that he was going to Nagchala and when he reached at Chikra-Ra-Gohar, he saw there lot of people were gathered and he went to the spot, in the mean time a leopard attacked upon him and he sustained injuries on his right arm.

CASE OF HURT AND CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION

4. A case FIR No. 37/12 dated 26/02/12 U/S 323,324,506,34 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Smt. Kanta Devi W/O Sh. Balwant Thalur R/O Upper Pandoh PO Pandoh Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 26/02/12 Satyawanti, her sister Chandrawati and Sonia beaten her up and she sustained injuries. ASI Ram Lal is investigating the case.

CASE OF PREVENTIVE ARREST

5. Naveen Saini @ Vickky S/O Sh. Nanak Chand R/O H. NO. 341/5 Sain Mohalla Mandi has been arrested U/S 107/151 Cr.P.C. on 26/02/12 at about 6 PM by ASI Mohar Singh I.O. of P.S. Sadar Mandi and was produced before the SDM Mandi and bailed out.

CHALLANS

6. 60 challans were issued and fine of Rs. 4100/- was recovered under M.V. Act during the last 24 hours.  2 Challans were issued under COTPA and fine of Rs. 200 was recovered and 2 challans were also issued under Mining Act during last 24 hours.
