Today Sh. Ajay Kumar Yadav, IPS, Worthy Inspector General of Police, Central Range Mandi (HP) along with Sh. Prem Kumar Thakur, IPS, Superintendent of Police, District Mandi briefed the all gazzetted officers (Sector Incharges International Shivratri Fair-2016) and NGO grade-II (Asstt. Sector Incharges, International Shivratri Fair-2016) at Police Lines Mandi deployed sector-wise for the law & order duty, security arrangements, traffic regulation and parking arrangements etc. during International Shivratri Fair-2016 which is being celebrated in this district w.e.f. 08/03/2016 to 14/03/2016. The W/IGP CR Mandi also briefed that to keep strict vigil on the miscreants and strangers and maintain the law & order properly. He also directed to behave politely and gently with the general public and ensure safe and secure environment during the entire fair.
Sh. Prem Kumar, IPS, Superintendent of Police, District Mandi conveyed during said meeting that following four barriers have been established at entry points of District Mandi with adequate manpower and equipments and these barriers started their proper functioning since yesterday round the clock:-

Khaliyar
Talyahar
Sh. Prem Kumar Thakur, IPS, S.P. Mandi apprised to the W/IGP CR Mandi that three vehicles along with quick reaction teams having sufficient manpower and equipments are deployed in the vicinity of the Mandi town to avoid any un-towards incident and to check the incidents of eve teasing etc. during the entire fair specially after closing of cultural nights program etc.
He also conveyed that entire mela area is divided into 6 sectors and total 7 gazzetted officers (Sector Incharges), 53 NOGs Grade-I, 581 NGOs Grade-II (HCs = 77 & Constables= 418 & Lady Constables =86) and 302 HHGs (Male HHG =272 & Female HHG =30) are deployed for law & order duty and security arrangements to celebrate International Shivratri Fair-2016 smoothly. Videography will also be done at above mentioned four barriers and the venue of Fair and cultural nights at Paddal ground Mandi.
Anti eve teasing cell where lady police constables in civil clothes has been created.
In addition to above, 20 Nos. IP based CCTV cameras are also installed the venue of said fair at Paddal Ground Mandi and such 5 CCTV cameras are also installed at Mandi town area to vigil the miscreants and strangers.
