CASE OF DAMAGE TO PUBLIC PROPERTY

1. Case FIR No.30/12 dated 28/02/12 U/S 3 of PDP Act has been registered in P.S Karsog on the complaint of Sh. Assistant Engineer HPPWD Sub Division Karsog that some unknown miscreants damaged the inauguration plate of veterinary dispensary at Naresh which was inaugurated by Sh. Hira Lal hon’ble MLA of Karsog constituency. ASI Rajender Singh I.O. of P.S. Karsog is investigating the case.

CASE OF CRUELTY BY HUSBAND

 2. Case FIR No. 39/12  dated 28/02/12 U/S 498A, 504,506 IPC has been registered in P.S Sarkagaht on the complaint of Smt. Champa Devi W/o Sh. Man Chand R/O Datwar PO Sandhole Tehsil Sarkagaht Distt. Mandi that she was married with Man Chand during the year 1987 and after 3 years of her marriage her husband Man Chand, Mother-in-law Geeta Devi and sister-in-law Sharda Devi started to harass her and also demanded dowry from her. ASI Amar Nath is investigating the case.

3. Case FIR No. 40/12 dated 28/02/12 U/S 289 IPC has been  registered  in P.S. Sarkaghat on the complaint of Smt. Leela Bati W/O Sh. Manoj Kumar R/O Pipali PO Darwar Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi that her daughter was bitten by pet dog of Anshu Devi. SI Chanchal Singh is investigating the case.

4. Case FIR No. 28/12 dated 28/02/12 U/S 380, 411 IPC has been registered in P.S. Jogindernagar on the complaint of Smt. Kushamla W/O Sh. Pyar Chand Rana R/O vill. Yora PO Dohag Tehsil Jogindernagar Distt. Mandi that on 11/02/12 her son Vivek stolen away her jewelry i.e. chain, golden ring etc and sold out to a goldsmith at Machhyal road in Rs. 19000/-. SI Rajender Kumar I.O. of P.S. Jogindernagar is investigating the case.

CASE OF KIDNAPPING FOR MARRIAGE

5. Case FIR No. 44/12 dated 29/02/12 U/S 363,366,368 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the written complaint of Sh. Sukker Deen S/O Sh. Dalmir R/O Damed (Khotinala) PO Shivabadar Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that three months ago Noor Bibbi aged 18 years old went to Hanogi but she didn’t return back to home. He received information that Liyakat Ali and Mohammad Ali kidnapped his daughter with the intention to marry with her and also demanded amount of Rs. 2500/-. CASE OF TRESPASS AND OUTRAGING MODESTY

6. Case FIR No. 40/12 dated 28/02/12 U/S 447,323,354 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Smt. Satyavati W/O Yeshwant Singh R/O village Dodar PO Rakhoh Tehsil Sarkaghat at present village Balheli PO Pandoh Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 26/02/12 at about 1.30 PM Balwant Singh entered in her land, misbehaved with her and also beaten her up. ASI Ram Lal I/C PP Pandoh is investigating the case.

CASE OF OBSTRUCTING WAY, HURT AND CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION

7. Case FIR No. 42/12 dated 28/02/12 U/S 341,323,504,506, 34 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Sh. Som Nath Sharma Advocate Mandi that on 23/02/12 he was going to court in the mean time Bhagat Ram and his brother-in-law obstructed his way and beat him up. CASE UNDER FOREST ACT

8. Case FIR No. 39/12 dated 28/02/12 U/S 32,33,41 Indian Forest Act and U/S 379 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi by ASI Mohar Singh that on 28/02/12 he laid a nakka at Bindrabani along with other police officials and during the course of checking of a vehicle (HP63-4058) he recovered 62 KG forest produce (Dandasha) from the possession of Smt. Krishna, Sonam and  Karma all resident of near Police Station Manali. ASI Mohar Singh is investigating the case.

9. Case FIR No. 41/12 dated 28/02/12 U/S 279,337 IPC and U/S 187 M.V. Act has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Sh. Led Ram S/O Sh. Naregu Ram R/O Kalwaradhar PO Khuhan Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 28/02/12 he was travelling by a mohindra pick-up (HP65-2762) and when said vehicle reached at 9 mile it fell down from the road due to rash and negligent driving of driver and he sustained injuries. ASI Ram Lal is investigating the case.

10.  Case FIR No. 43/12 dated 28/02/12 U/S 279,337 IPC and U/S 187 MV Act has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi by HC Jaswant Singh No. 903 I.O. of P.P. Pandoh that on 28/02/12  Door Singh S/O Sh. Chetu Ram R/O Vill. Sudhrani PO Khalwahan Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi was crossing on N.H. 21 near 9 mile and in the mean time a car (HP33A-5715) came from Kullu side and hit him and he sustained injuries. HC Jashwant Singh No. 903 I.O. of P.P. Pandoh is investigating the case.

CASE OF DEATH DUE TO LIGHTENING

11. On 28/02/12 Gopal Singh S/O Sh. Labhdi Ram R/O Vill. Sali PO Gumma Tehsil Jogindernagar Distt. Mandi died due to lightening. Postmortem of the dead body was carried out at C.H. Jogindernagar Distt. Mandi and proceeding U/S 174 Cr.P.C. was carried out.

CASE OF INQUEST

12. Singho Ram S/O Sh. Dhurma Ram R/O Vill. Hulera Tehsil Churah Tisha Distt. Chamba aged about 48 years old was residing along with his minor child in the house of Majru Ram. On 28/02/12 he consumed large amount of liquor and fell down from the roof of the house and died on the spot. Post  Mortem of the dead body to be carried out at C.H. Jogindernagar after reaching of his relatives at C.H. Jogindernagar who have been informed accordingly.

CASE OF MISSING

13. Today Bhadur Singh S/O Sh. Kanaihya Lal R/O Vill. Nagan PO Chukku Tehsil Padhar Distt. Mandi reported in Police Station that his son Mast  Ram went to Padhar bazaar on 16/02/2012 and he didn’t return back so far. Hence, a missing report is lodged in P.S. Padhar and efforts are afoot to trace out him.

1. Case FIR No. 24/12 dated 28/02/12 U/S 20 of NDPS Act has been registered in P.S. Sundernagar by SI Madan Lal that today he laid a nakka along with other police officials at Pung, in the mean time one person came on foot from Bilaspur side and on seeing police party he turned back at once and on suspicion he was caught with the help of police party and he revealed out his name & address as Jaspal Singh S/O Sh. Amarjeet Singh H. No. 2520/4 Mohalla Poolchakkar Roopnagar Tehsil & Distt. Roopnagar(PB) and recovered 800 gram cannabis (charas) from his possession in the presence of Sh. Ajay Rana SDPO Sundernagar. Accused has been arrested and further investigation of the case is on progress. SI Madan Lal I.O. of P.S. Sunderangar is investigating the case.

2. Case FIR No. 23/12 dated 27/02/12 U/S 279,337 IPC & U/S 184 M.V. Act has been registered in P.S. Sundernagar on the complaint of Sh. Chhabi Ram S/O Sh. Tola Ram R/O Sarsaylu PO Gurkotha that on 27/02/12 he was on traffic duty at Tarot, in the mean time a swift car (HP31C-7506) came from Mandi side and a M/Cycle A/F of TVS make came from Sundernagar side and they collided with each other due to rash and negligent driving of M/Cycle rider and driver of above car. SI Madan Lal I.O. of P.S. Sundernagar is investigating the case.

3. Case FIR No. 27/12 dated 28/02/12 U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in P.S. Jogindernagar on the complaint of Sh. Dulo Ram S/O Late Sh. Mehar Singh R/O Batehar PO Sainthal Tehsil Jogindernagar Distt. Mandi that on 09/011/11 at about 5 PM he was going to his home and when he reached at Kohra a car (HP33T-9278) came very rashly and negligently and hit him and he sustained injuries. Driver Joginder Singh S/O Sh. Surjan Singh R/O Dhelu PO Dohag Tehsil Jogindernagar Distt. Mandi assured him that he will pay all expenditure occurred on his treatment and he paid him only Rs. 16,300/- and thereafter he refused to pay the expenditure occurred on his treatment. 4. Case FIR No. 17/12 dated 28/02/12 U/S 341, 504, 34 IPC has been registered in P.S. Aut on the complaint of Sh. Balwant Singh S/O Sh. Yog Raj R/O Vill. Kalichan PO Newual Tehsil Kullu Distt. Kullu that on 27/02/12 he was going back from Mandi to Newual along with Ramesh Thakurm Bhawani Thakur, Chet Ram by a vehicle (HP01K-0245) and when they reached at Shiladaral, in the mean time a pick up jeep (HP31-B0227) came there, obstructed their vehicle and driver of said jeep Rum Singh S/O Sh. Tot Chand R/O Kanoj PO Chattighat Distt. Mand and Gopal Singh S/O Sh. Dela Ram R/O Rahala PO Sayari Distt. Mandi beaten him up. HC Bhup Singh No. 870 I.O. of P.S. Aut is investigating the case.

CASE OF CAUSING FIRE BY NEGLIGENT ACT

5. Case FIR No. 38/12 dated 27/02/12 U/S 285 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Sh. Kamlesh Kumar S/O Sh. Inder Singh village Ambla Tala PO Bhargoan Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 27/02/12 Desh Raj, Bhupender Pal, Pradep Kumar went to their home and when they reached Ghuran, Desh Raj S/O Sh. Ghanshyam told them he had sodium metal if it is diluted in water reaction will take place. He diluted it in water and it reacted with a blast, due to which his face was brunt. ASI Sawarnroop Singh is investigated the case.

6. Balvinder Singh @ Mandeep Singh S/O Sh. Bhajan Singh R/O 4/01 Jawaharnagar Mandi has been arrested on 27/02/12 by SI (Prob) Sandeep Chaudhary in case FIR No. 29/12 dated 14/02/12 U/S 379 IPC of P.S. Sadar Mandi.

7. Today about 200 Anganwari workers demonstrated near SDM Office Karsog under the leadership of Banti Devi, President Anganwari Workers Union Karsog and handed over a memorandum to SDM Karsog regarding their demands.

CASE OF NARCOTICS

1. Case FIR No. 16/12 dated 27/02/12 U/S 18,20 of ND&PS Act has been registered in P.S. Aut by HC Prakam Singh No. 904 that today at about 10 AM he was on patrolling along with other police personnel at Jhalogi, in the mean time Balak Ram @ Ram Nath S/O Sh. Karmu R/O Vill. Tahula PO Thalout Distt. Mandi came from Tahula side and on suspicion his personal search was carried out and he recovered 10 gram cannabis (charas) and 5 gram opium from his possession. Accused has been arrested and further investigation of the case is on progress. HC Prakam Singh No. 904 is investigating the case.

2. A case FIR No. 51/12 dated 26/02/12 U/S 279,337 IPC and U/S 187 M.V. Act has been registered in P.S. Balh on the complaint of Sh. Inder Singh S/O Sh. Gurmukh Ram R/O Vill. Bhayarta PO Chunahan Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 26/02/12 he was going by his M/Cycle (HP33A-2770) towards Sundernagar and when he reached at Dadaur, in the mean time a jeep came from Dadour side and his M/Cycle and he fell down on the road and sustained injuries. ATTACK BY LEOPARD

3. Today Thakur Dass S/O Sh. Gawanu Ram R/O Vill. Chhatru PO Kummi Distt. Mandi reported that he was going to Nagchala and when he reached at Chikra-Ra-Gohar, he saw there lot of people were gathered and he went to the spot, in the mean time a leopard attacked upon him and he sustained injuries on his right arm.

4. A case FIR No. 37/12 dated 26/02/12 U/S 323,324,506,34 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Smt. Kanta Devi W/O Sh. Balwant Thalur R/O Upper Pandoh PO Pandoh Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 26/02/12 Satyawanti, her sister Chandrawati and Sonia beaten her up and she sustained injuries. 5. Naveen Saini @ Vickky S/O Sh. Nanak Chand R/O H. NO. 341/5 Sain Mohalla Mandi has been arrested U/S 107/151 Cr.P.C. on 26/02/12 at about 6 PM by ASI Mohar Singh I.O. of P.S. Sadar Mandi and was produced before the SDM Mandi and bailed out.

CASE OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH

1. Case FIR No. 22/12 dated 26/02/12 U/S 279, 304A IPC has been registered in P.S. Sundernagar on the written complaint of Sh.Bhagat Ram S/O Sh. Govind Ram R/O Thana PO Khakhrain Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 18/02/12 his brother-in-law Jagmohan Sharma was going from his home Riwalsar to Bilaspur by his van (HP24A-0119) and when he reached near Naulkha his van was hit by a vehicle (HP31-5130) and both parties compromised on the same day. His brother-in-law sustained injuries and admitted to Sai Hospital Tarout from where he was referred to IGMC Shimla where he succumbed to his injuries. SI Madan Lal is investigating the case.

2. Case FIR No. 27/12 dated 25/02/12 U/S 336 IPC and U/S 53 of Mines and Mineral Act has been registered in P.S. Karsog on the complaint of Mining Guard Pangna Tehsil Karsog Distt. Mandi that Dharam Singh S/O Sh. Devi Saran R/O Vill. Bali PO Behli Tehsil Karsog Distt. Mandi dug a 31 feet long and 44 feet wide & 80 feet deep hole on his land to sell the sand illegally which caused danger to the general public of the locality. 3. Case FIR No. 28/12 dated 25/02/12 U/S 336 IPC and U/S 53 of Mining Act has been registered in P.S. Karsog on the written complaint of Mining Guard Pangna that Mehar Chand S/O Sh. Devi Saran R/O Vill. Bali PO Behli Tehsil Karsog Distt. Mandi dug a 105 feet long 49 feet wide and 10 feet deep hole on his land to sell the sand illegally which caused danger to the general public of the locality. CASE OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH

4. Case FIR No. 29/11 dated 25/02/12 U/S 279,337,304A IPC has been registered in P.S. Karsog on the written complaint of Sh. Baldev Chand S/O Sh. Dagu Ram R/O Vill. Batala Behli Tehsil Karsog Distt. Mandi that on 25/02/12 he was present in his home, in the mean time he heard a loud sound on the road side. On this he went on the spot along with other people of the locality and saw that a Maruti Car (HP02M-0179) fell down about 70-80 feet downward. Driver Nikka Ram S/O Sh. Dhani Ram R/O Vill. Sanarli PO Bhanthal Tehsil Karsog along with another occupant Jai Ram S/O Sh. Jinu Ram R/O Vill. Lathari PO Bhnathal were rescued from the spot and both were brought to C.H. Karsog for treatment where driver Nikka Ram succumbed to his injuries and Jai Ram was referred to IGMC Shimla by the M.O. of C.H. Karsog. SI Trilok Chand SHO P.S. Karsog is investigating the case.

CASE OF OUTRAGING MODESTY, OBSTRUCTING WAY AND CRIMINAL INTIMIDATION

5. Case FIR No38/12 dated 26/2/2012 U/S 341,354,506 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sarkaghat on the complaint of Smt. Urmila Devi W/O Sh. Gain Chand Vill. Tharu PO Kangu-Ka-Gehra Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt Mandi that on 25/2/12 at about 12.30 P.M she was going from Cholthara bazaar to her house and on the way Sandeep Kumar S/O Jaswant Singh Vill. Digo PO Cholthra Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt Mandi obstructed her way and tried to outrage her modesty and also threatened her with dire consequences. ASI Mohinder Singh I/O PS Sarkaghat is investigating the case.

CASE OF HOUSE TRESPASS, HURT AND INTIMIDATION

1. A case FIR No. 26/12 dated 25/02/12 U/S 451/324/504 IPC has been registered in P.S. Jogidernagar on the complaint of Sh. Lekh Raj S/O Puran Chand R/O Maman PO & Tehsil Ladbharol Distt. Mandi that on 24/02/12 Trilok Chand S/O Sh. Raj Mal resident of the same locality came to his home at about 11.30 PM equipped with a sharp weapon and started abusing him and when he came out of his house Trilok Chand beaten  him up and he sustained injuries. CASE OF CONSUMING POISON

2. Amit Kumar S/O Sh. ChamanLal VPO Ghandalvi Tehsil & P.S. Ghumarwin Distt. Bilaspur aged 17 years old has been admitted to Z.H. Mandi after he consumed some poisonous substance at Kangu for treatment and he was unable to give his statement but as per the statement of Smt. Anju Devi mother of the above Amit Kumar her son was taking some medicines from last 3-4 months. However, final proceeding as per law will be initiated after recording the statement of above Amit Kumar who is unable to record statement at present. 

CASE OF FIRE

 3. Two storey kachha house of Sh. Swaru Ram S/O Sh. Guju Ram and Sh. Hari Singh S/O Sh. Guju Ram R/O Tolak PO Bhangrotu Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi was brunt today (intervening night of 24-25/02/12 at 1.30 AM) due to electric short circuit and approximately loss of property is about Rs. 10 lacs.

ARREST IN CASE OF PUBLIC NUISANCE

4. Dinesh Kumar  @ Bablu S/O Jiwan Lal VPO Katipari Tehsil Padhar Distt. Mandi arrested U/S 290/510 IPC on 24/02/12 at Padhar bazaar by ASI Charan Singh and he was bailed out on the bond of Rs. 5000/5000 and Kalandras U/S 290/510 IPC was prepared against above Dinesh Kumar by the local police of P.S. Padhar.

Hira Pal R/O Kuttal PO Baryara Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 23/02/12 he along with his friend Gajender Thakur, Jitender and Hans Raj were going to their home and when they reached near Suketi bridge, Latu, Jonty and Chintu obstructed their way and beat him up and he sustained injuries along with Gajender. 2. Case FIR No. 279/429/20 IPC and 187 M.V. Act has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Sh. Virender Sharma S/O Sh. Kanahia Lal Sharma R/O H. No. 102/2 Purani Mandi Tehsil Sadar Mandi that on 23/02/12 he was going to his home by his car (HP33B-0151) and when he reached at Bhiuli, he saw a cow was lying on the road in injured condition who was hit by the driver of Tata Sumo (HP01M-0993) and sped away from the spot. 3. Case FIR No. 37/12 dated 24/02/12 U/S 324/504 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sarkaghat on the complaint of Sh. Prem Chand S/O Sh. Bachiter Singh R/O Vill. Bajahar PO Tarpohal Tehsil Sujanpur Distt. Hamirpur that on 23/02/12 he went to attend a marriage ceremony in his relationship at village Sohar where Vijay Kumar R/O Chatia-Di-Dhar hit him with knife on his left cheek and he sustained injuries. 4. Case FIR No. 25/12 dated 23/02/12 U/S 143/341/506 IPC has been registered in P.S. Karsog on the complaint of Sh. Meena Ram S/O Sh. Loharu Ram R/O Vill. Bakhroh PO Khanol Tehsil Karsog Distt. Mandi that Het Ram, Pabinder Kumar S/O Sh. Nokhu Ram, Dhani Ram S/O Sh. Shetu Ram, Kishori Lal S/O Sh. Shetu Ram, Kalu Devi W/O Sh. Yeshwant, Chandru Devi W/O Sh. Het Ram, Gumati Devi and Sanju Kumar S/O Sh. Het Ram all resident of same locality entered in his fields and tried to attack him but in the mean time his wife came there and saved him from the clutches of above mentioned persons. 5. A case FIR No. 26/12 dated 24/02/12 U/S 380 IPC has been registered in P.S. Karsog on the complaint of Sh. Begam Ram S/O Sh. Keshru R/O Vill. Delag PO Soma Kothi Tehsil Karsog Distt. Mandi that on 23/02/12 he went to attend a marriage ceremony in his village along with his family and at about 9 PM when they came back to their home he saw the door of his house almirah were opened and he found that cash of worth Rs. 18000/- and jewelry were stolen away by some unknown culprits. Total approximately value of stolen property is about Rs. 1,70,000/- SI Trilok Chand SHO P.S. Karsog is investigating the case.

6. Case FIR No. 50/12 dated 23/02/12 U/S 341/323 IPC has been registered in P.S. Balh on the complaint of Sh. Durga Ram S/O Sh. Didu Ram R/O Vill. Soyra PO Balt Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 23/02/12 he was going to his home and on the way his brother Pitamber @ Mast Ram obstructed his way and beat him up and he sustained injuries. HC Ram Singh No. 66 I.O. of P.S. Balh is investigating the case.

On 20/02/12 he went to his native place and on 21/02/12 when he came back he found that some unknown culprits stolen his house hold items along with cash of worth Rs. 3000/- and total approximately value of stole property is about Rs. 16,000/-. Mandi have been arrested in case FIR No. 20/12 dated 20/02/12 U/S 302/201/34 IPC and these all accused have been ordered to 7 days police remand. Bilaspur (HP) that on 18/02/12 his father went to attend a marriage ceremony at Bilaspur and when his father didn't came back from marriage ceremony, he make a call on his mobile but said call was forwarded. On 19/02/12 he received information from Police Post Dehar that a vehicle (HP69A-4444) was recovered from Satluj river. On this he reached at Dehar and saw that his father was lying dead inside his car and he suspects that some unknown persons killed his father and threw him along with his car in Satluj river. Inspr. TRAFFIC PLAN FOR SHIVRATRI

1. Local buses coming to Mandi and going back from Mandi towards Sundernagar side will be parked at Temporary Bus Stand at Bypass near Sukodi Bridge. They will drop and take passengers from this point and will not enter Mandi City.

2. Local buses coming to Mandi and going back from Mandi towards Kullu and Jogindernagar side will drop and take passengers from Behuli Bridge and will not enter Mandi City.

3. For buses coming and going from Rewalsar side only those Route Buses who have permit to enter Mandi city will be allowed to enter Mandi city.

4. No bus will not be allowed to drop and take passengers from on NH 21 stretch inside the city. Temporary bus stands at Bypass and Behuli Bridge will be used.

5. All are requested to park vehicles at Parking Only and not on road as it will lead to traffic congestion and Jams on roads. Parking is available at Bhimakali Temple, Gurdwara, Bypass, Behind BSNL Office, ITI etc. Please don not park on roads.

6. Crane will be used to tow away idle parked vehicles.

HALF MARATHON RESULTS

1. Today District Police Mandi organized an open half marathon (male/female) on the eve of International Shivratri Fair 2012 under Anti Smoking Campaign launched by the District Police Mandi under COTPA which was flagged off by Sh. C.P. Pandey, IFS, Conservator Forest Mandi, from historic Seri Munch who was the chief guest on this occasion and prizes were also distributed among the winners by the chief guest. In this event 213 participants (male = 194 & female= 19) were enrolled with us out of which 213 participants (male = 194 and female=19) participated in this event.

Mandi that on 18/02/12 he was going from Takoli towards Mandi by a jeep (HP34D-1200) and when he reached at Dawada a truck (HP24B-4797) came very rashly, hit his jeep and sped away from the spot and thereafter said truck after reaching Aut struck again with a rock and fell down on the road. Noop Ram obstructed her way and tried to outrage her modesty and also beaten of them. Case is being investigating by HC Hari Singh No. 407 I/O P.S Padhar.

Noop Ram R/o VPO Tihari Tehsil Sadar Mandi that on 16/02/12 at about 9 PM he along with his family member were present at their father shop than Lal Chand and Het Ram entered the shop and beaten  them. Thereafter, Pawan, Tek Chand and Hukam also came there and beaten them again. They all sustained injuries. Case is being investigating by HC Hari Singh No. 407 I/O P.S Padhar.

Chatter Singh R/o Gugyas PO Saikothi Tehsil Churah P.S Tissa Distt. Chamba at present worker at Kol Dam that today Khem Raj S/o Sh. Thakur Lal R/o Liyunda PO Saikothi Tehsil Tehsil Churah P.S Tissa Distt. Chamba has stolen Rs. 40,000/- from his room, during the night of 14/02/12. Mandi (HP) that on 15/02/12 he closed the shop of liquor, in the mean time Nag R/O Chalarag abused him. After some time he went to his home and at about 10.45 PM Nag along with his son Sheellu, Neelu S/O Sh. Dharam Singh and other 6/7 persons came in his house and beat him up along with his another associate Sanjay and both of them sustained injuries. 6. A case of offences under wild life protect Act (case FIR No. 30/12 dated 16/02/12 U/S 51 of Wild Life Protection Act) has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi by SI Salim Qureshi I/O of P.S. Sadar Mandi that he laid a nakka along with other police officials at Sukki bain, in the mean time two persons came on foot from Pandoh side towards Mandi with a bag and during the course of checking of their bag he recovered two pieces of skin of leopard. Later on they were identified as Moti Ram S/O Sh. Laje Ram R/O Vill. Khalra Distt. Mandi and Munish R/O Upper Pandoh who were arrested in this case. SI Slim Qureshi is investigating the case.

Mandi Gramin Dak Sewak of Branch Chunahan misappropriated govt. money deposited in the shape of RDs. amounting to Rs. 14830/-. SI Chhota Ram of P.S. Balh is investigating the case.

Sarkaghat Distt. on the complaint of Sanjay Kumar S/O Sh. Prabhu Ram R/O Vill. Chandesh Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi that Ishwar Dass and his family members forcibly occupied their land and also constructing a structure of bamboo with the intention to grab their land and they also threatened him and his family. HC Narpat Ram No. 886 I.O. of P.S. Sarkaghat is investigating the case.

1. FIR NO. 42/12 dated 14.02.12 u/s 420, 467, 471 IPC has been registered in PS Balh on complaint of Sh. Dharam Dass s/o Sh Basakhu Ram r/o vill. Kasarla, PO Ratti working as Manager Himgiri Hire Purchase Ltd. That on 24.08.11 Duni Chand S/o Sh Dutt Ram Vill. Ghaur PO Riyur applied for finance of a vehicle. Late on the documents of the vehicle were found forged. Case is being investigated by ASI Om Prakash I C PP Rewalsar.

CRIME REPORT 14 FEB

MANDI HALF MARATHON AND 11KM RACE

1. District Police Mandi is going to organize open half marathon for male category and 11 KM run for female category  on 19/02/11 at 9.30 AM under Anti Smoking Campaign launched by the District Police Mandi under  COTPA which will be flagged off from Seri Munch Mandi.

            Entry fee for the participation in Open Half Marathon & 11 KM run is Rs. 50/- per participant and Entry Form will be available at all Police Stations of Mandi District and at all Police Lines of the H.P.

            In male category (open half marathon) 1^st prize = Rs. 21,000/-, 2^nd prize  = Rs. 15,000/- and   3^rd prize = Rs. 11,000/- will be given whereas in  female category (11 KM run) 1^st prize = Rs. 15,000/-, 2^nd prize  = Rs. 11,000/- and   3^rd prize = Rs. 8,000/- will be given. Participants securing 4^th place to 10^th place will be  given prize of Rs. 1000/- each in both categories. 

            All participants of open half marathon and 11 KM run will also be examined medically on 18/02/11 at Police Lines Mandi from 10 AM to 5 PM and on 19/02/12 at 7.30 AM onwards at Seri Manch Mandi.

2. A case of NDPS Act (case FIR No. 17/12 dated 13/02/12 U/S 20 of NDPS Act) has been registered in P.S. Sundernagar by ASI Ram Lal that on 13/02/12 he was on patrolling along with other police at Bhawana and during the course of patrolling he recovered 65 Gram cannabis (charas) from the possession of Devinder Kumar S/O Sh. Chet Ram R/O Bhawana PO Jarol Tehsil S/Nagar Distt. Mandi. Accused has been arrested and further investigation of the case is on progress.

Jhankidhar PO Kataula Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 18/02/12 at 09.30 she was coming back to her home on the way Guddi Devi W/O Sh. Tulsi Ram Vill. Jankidhar PO Kataula beat her up. CASE OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE


4. Smt. Sarla Devi W/O Sh. Khem Chand R/O Vill. Mehar PO Tandu Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi reported in P.S. Padhar that her husband Khem Chand used to beat her up and her children since last one year. Her report has been lodged under Domestic Violence Act which is being sent to CDPO Kunnu for initiating further inquiry in the matter.

5. A case of theft (case FIR No. 29/12 dated 14/02/12 U/S 379 IPC) has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Sh. Jai Pal Singh S/O Sh. Sarwan Singh R/O H. No. 95 VPO Bijani Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 13/02/12 he parked his car (HP33C-3335) outside of his house and today he found that his vehicle was not present at the place of parking and he suspects that some unknown culprits stolen away his above vehicles. Efforts are afoot to nab the culprits and recover the stolen property. SI (Prob) Sandeep Chaudhary is investigating the case.

Nand Lal, District Courts Mandi that on 13/02/12 his nephew was admitted in children ward to  Z.H. Mandi and  at about 08.25 PM he reached at the main gate of the Medical Ward, he requested to Home Guard constable that he wants to meet with his nephew but all of sudden HHG Madhav Ram slapped & kicked him and he sustained injuries. HC Inder Singh No. 7 I.O. of P.P. City Mandi is investigating the case.
