(A)TUG OF WAR
Today Tug of War competition held among the various teams of Mahila Mandals of this district on the eve of International Shivratri Fair 2016 amon
Today first semi final match of volleyball championship played between teams of Mahila Mandal Bari Vs. team of Mahila Mandal Kot Tunga and said Semi Final won by the Mahila Mandal Kot Tunga.
Second semi final match of Tug of War championship played between team of Mahila Mandal Suragi Vs team of Mahila Mandal Devdhar and said Semi Final won by the Mahila Mandal Devdhar.
Final match of Tug of War championship played between team of Mahila Mandal Devdhar Vs team of Mahila Mandal Kot Tungal and said Final won by the Mahila Kot Tungal. Cash prize amounting to Rs. 11,000/- was given to the winner team (team of Mahila Mandal Kot Tungal) and cash prize amounting to Rs. 9,000/- was given to the runner up team (team of Mahila Mandal Devdhar).
(B) VOLLEYBALL
Today first semi final match of volleyball championship played between teams of District Kangra Vs H.P. Postal Department Shimla and said match won by the team of H.P Postal Department Shimla by winning three sets in comparison to team of district Kangra won two sets.
Final match of volleyball championship played between team of H.P. Postal Department Shimla Vs team of District Solan and said final match won by the team of H.P. Postal Department Shimla by winning two sets in comparison to one set won by the team of Disrict Solan. Closing ceremony of said championship presided over by Sh. Prem Kumar Thakur, IPS Superintendent of Police, Mandi (HP)-cum-Convener, Shivratri Fair Sports Sub Committee, District Mandi (HP) and distributed prizes to the winner and runner teams of said championship. Cash prize amounting to Rs. 21,000/- was given to the winner team (team of H.P. Postal Department Shimla) and cash prize amounting to Rs. 15,000/- was given to the runner up team (team of district Solan).
(C) WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP
Today Sh. Sandeep Kadam, IAS, Deputy Commissioner-cum-Organizer Mandi Mahashivratri Mahotsav and Sh. Prem Kumar Thakur, IPS Superintendent of Police, Mandi (HP)-cum-Convener, Shivratri Fair Sports Sub Committee, District Mandi (HP) along with other senior officers of the district administration and members of Wrestling Committee were present on the occasion.
(I) "MANDI KESARI" TITLE UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE GROUP
Final Match for "Mandi Kesari" title (below 18 years old age group) held between Sh. Mukesh Kumar wrestler resident of Dhawal, Sundernagar Vs Sh. Vijay Kumar wrestler resident of Kansa Chowk district Mandi (HP) and Sh. Mukesh Kumar won the said title of "Mandi Kesari" by defeating Sh. Vijay Kumar.
(II) "HIMACHAL KUMAR" TITLE UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE GROUP
First match for said "Himachal Kumar" title (below 21 years old age group) held between Sh. Rajveer wrestler resident of Dhawal, Sundernagar Vs Sh. Tilak Raj wrestler resident of Talwali, Sundernagar district Mandi (HP) and Sh. Rajveer R/O Dhawal won the said first match of above mentioned title.
Second match for said "Himachal Kumar" title (below 21 years old age group) held between Sh. Mukesh Kumar wrestler resident of Dhawal, Sundernagar Vs Sh. Dev Singh wrestler resident of Roparu, Gokhra, District Mandi (HP) and Sh. Mukesh Kumar R/O Dhawal won the said second match of above mentioned title.
Third match for said "Himachal Kumar" title (below 21 years old age group) held between Sh. Abhishek resident of district Una Vs Sh. Lakhvinder wrestler resident of district Kangra (HP) and Sh. Abhishek R/O Una won the said second match of above mentioned title.
First semi final match for said "Himachal Kumar" title (below 21 years old age group) held between Sh. Rajveer resident of Dhawal, Sundernagar Vs Sh. Mukesh Kumar wrestler R/O Dhawal Sundernagar Mandi (HP) and Sh. Rajveer R/O Dhawal won the said semi final of above mentioned title.
Second semi final match for said "Himachal Kumar" title (below 21 years old age group) held between Sh. Sahil wrestler resident of Una District Vs Sh. Abhishek wrestler District Kangra (HP) and Sh. Sahil R/O Una won the said semi final of above mentioned title
(III) "SHIVRATRI KESARI" TITLE OPEN FOR ALL ( 21 YEARS OF AGE GROUP AND ABOVE)
First quarter final match for said "Shivratri Kesari" title held between Sh. Krishan wrestler resident of Sonipat (PB) Vs Sh. Raju wrestler resident of Kangra District (HP) and Sh. Krishan R/O Sonipat won the said first quarter final match.
Second quarter final match for said "Shivratri Kesari" title held between Sh. Bodh Raj wrestler resident of Sundernagar Distt. Mandi (HP) ) Vs Sh. Pankaj resident of Delhi and Sh. Bodh Raj won the said second quarter final match.
Third quarter final match for said "Shivratri Kesari" title held between Sh. Sandeep wrestler resident of Delhi Vs Sh. Pawan Kumar wrestler resident of Sundernagar Distt. Kangra (HP) and Sh. Sandeep R/O Delhi won the said third quarter final match.
Forth quarter final match for said "Shivratri Kesari" title held between Sh. Anil Kumar wrestler resident of Rohtak Haryana Vs Sh. Rakesh Kumar wrestler resident of Sundernagar Distt. Kangra (HP) and Sh. Anil Kumar R/O Rohtak Haryana won the said third quarter forth match.
Fifth quarter final match for said "Shivratri Kesari" title held between Sh. Suramu wrestler resident of Hoshiarpur (PB) Vs Sh. Ajay Kumar wrestler resident of Lohara, Balh Distt. Mandi (HP) and Sh. Suramu R/O Hoshiarpur (PB) won the said third quarter fifth match.
Sixth quarter final match for said "Shivratri Kesari" title held between Sh. Prem Kumar wrestler resident of Delhi Vs Sh. Gopal wrestler resident of Roparu Distt. Mandi (HP) and Sh. Prem Kumar R/O Delhi won the said sixth quarter final match.
Prizes and guraz to the winners and runners will be distributed tomorrow i.e. on 14/03/2016 day of closing of Mandi Mahashivratri Mahotsav.
CASE OF CRIMINAL TRESPASS
2. Case FIR No. 69/16 dated 12/03/16 U/S 448, 34 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sadar on the complaint of Sh. Sant Ram S/O Late. Sh. Mohan Singh R/O House No. 126/05 Palace Colony Mandi that he is running a rented shop in the house of Kapoor Singh R/O Lambathach. On 12/03/16 at about 02:50 PM Kapoor Singh came alongwith 15/20 people , entered in his shop and threw the some article outside from his shop. HC Manoj Kumar No. 50 I.O. of PP City is investigating the case.
CASE OF KIDNAPPING
3. Case FIR No. 34/16 dated 12/03/16 U/S 364, 34 has been registered in P.S. BSL Colony Sundernagar on the complaint of Sh. Dev Raj S/O Sh. Dumnu Ram R/O Jabras PO Nihari District Mandi (HP) that his brother namely Piyre Lal is missing since 10/03/16 and he suspect that Devinder Kumar S/O Sh. Tawaru Ram & his wife namely Bhagwati resident of the same locality kidnapped his brother . ASI Khalil Ahmad I/C of PP Nihri is investigating the case.
CASE OF ATTEMPT TO SUICIDE
4. Case FIR No. 35/16 dated 13/03/16 U/S 309 IPC has been registered in P.S. BSL Colony Sundernagar on the complaint of Sh. Lekh Raj S/O Sh. Sadhu Ram R/O Tunahi PO Town Ship Tehsil Sundernagar District Mandi (HP) that on 13/03/16 his wife namely Geeta Devi tried to commit the suicide by consuming some poisonous substance . ASI Jagdish Kumar I.O. of P.S. BSL Colony Sundernagar is investigating the case.
CASE UNDER SCHEDULED CASTE AND SCHEDULED TRIBE ( PREVENTION OF ATROCITIES ) ACT
5. Case FIR No. 49/16 dated 12/03/16 U/S 3 of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe ( Prevention of Atrocities ) Act has been registered in P.S. Gohar on the complaint of Sh. Tek Chand S/O Sh. Var Singh R/O Chohat PO Bagachanogi Tehsil Thunag District Mandi (HP) that on 10/12/15 Jeevan Singh S/O Sh. Sohan Lal and 21 other person called him by caste and they also threatened him with dire consequences. HC Sarwan Kumar No. 917 I.O. of PP Janjehli is investigating the case.
CASE OF EXCISE ACT
6. Case FIR No. 30/16 dated 12/03/16 U/S 39 of HP Excise Act has been registered in P.S. Dharampur by SI Parveen Kumar SHO of P.S. Dharampur that on 12/03/16 he was on patrolling alongwith other police officials at Sari and during patrolling he recovered 9 Bottles of Country Liquor from the possession of Sunil Kumar S/O Sh. Gulab Singh R/O Sari Tehsil Sarkaghat District Mandi (HP) . SI Praveen Kumar SHO of P.S. Dharampur is investigating the case.

7. 59 Challans were issued under M.V.Act and fine of Rs. 3400/- was recovered during last 24 hours.
