CASE OF ATM THEFT, ARREST OF ACCUSED AND RECOVERY OF CASH
1. Case FIR No. 230/16 dated 05/09/2016 U/S 380,511,436 IPC has been registered in P.S. Sunderanagar on the complaint of Sh. Pankaj Kaushal S/O Sh. Hari Ram R/O VPO Dayargi Tehsil Balh District Mandi (HP) that on 04/09/2016 at about 1 AM some unknown persons entered inside ATM of PNB near Sirdha College at Naulakha and he reached on the spot the ATM was set on fire although fire tender had controlled the fire. A bunch of keys was hanging with the cover of the ATM machine and the lock of ATM machine was found open. This lock can only be opened through a special code by a specialist. The ATM is being managed by SIPL company as per the version of the complainant the SIPL company could only tell what exact amount have been stolen from the ATM.
During investigation spot was visited by RFSL team Mandi and Police recovered Rs. 1,04,400/- cash from the sage of ATM and exhibit and control sample were collected by the police from the spot. On the basis of evidences collected, statement of witnesses accused Goldi Kumar S/O Sh. Pritam Singh R/O Lehrana PO Jakhyol Tehsil Bhoranj Distt. Hamirpur age 25 years old was arrested on 05/09/2016 at 6 PM. During the course of investigation accused revealed that accused is custodian of 16 ATMs being managed by SIPL company in Sundernagar reason. Accused has taken almost rupees 14 lac from various ATMs in various transactions. He used to shift the currency from one ATM to another ATM illegally whenever the audit of said ATM is conducted by SIPL company and Bank Authorities. In this connection the audit of SBI ATM Dhanotu was proposed during this month and the balance of SBI ATM Dhanotu was short of cash approximately rupees 14 lac and said accused planned to make theft in PNB ATM Naulakha in view to deposit the money in SBI ATM Dhanotu. He around 10.30 PM stole away approximately Rs. 13 lac from PNB ATM Shirda Naulakha out which he deposited sum of Rs. 12 lac in SBI Dhanotu ATM and Rs. 1 lac took away with him. CCTV Footage of both ATMs has been recovered and analyzed and during the analysis of said footage presence of accused Goldi Kumar as evidently proven in these footages. In addition to above, online record of electronic general of said ATMs is being obtained from the authorities of banks from Mumbai. Accused Goldi Kumar has been admitted to civil Hospital Sundernagar and today he was produced before the ACJM Sundernagar and awarded 4 days police remand during the course of investigation cash of worth Rs. 99,000/- has been recovered from the accused Goldi Kumar . Further investigation in this case is in progress. The remaining amount about Rs. 9 lacs which have been misappropriated by the said accused will be recovered as and when the balance sheets of both SBI & PNB banks will be scrutinized.
MONTHLY JOINT CONSULTANCY COMMITTEE-CUM-WELFARE AND CRIME MEETING HELD ON 08/06/2016
2. Today Monthly joint Consultancy Committee-cum- Crime Meeting of District Police Mandi held under the chairmanship of Sh. Prem Kumar Thakur, IPS Superintendent of Police, District Mandi (HP) in Kamaksha hall Police Lines, Mandi in which all the gazetted officers of Mandi Police i.e. Sh. Sh. Hitesh Lakhanpal, HPS Dy.Supdt. of Police, (Hqrs.) Mandi, Sh. Sanjeev Bhatia, SDPO Sundernagar, Sh. Anil Dhaulta, HPS SDPO Padhar, Sh. Madan Dhiman, HPS SDPO Sarkaghat, Miss Sakshi Verma, IPS (Prob.), all SHOs of Mandi District, Incharge Traffic Mandi, all Incharges of Police Posts of Mandi Distict and about 80 police officials of Mandi Police participated.
The performance of the Police Lines Mandi, all Police Stations & Police Posts has been analyzed and evaluated by the Superintendent of Police, District Mandi during said JCC-cum-welfare & Crime meeting and it is observed that working of all unit/P.Ss/PPs as well as crime on the whole has decreased under all major heads i.e. Murder, Rape and Kidnapping/Abduction etc. in this district.
All SHOs and I/C PPs were directed to improve prevention & detection work, to take concrete steps to reduce/decrease road accidents in their respective jurisdiction, to decrease numbers of missing persons, to apprehend proclaimed offenders and to reduce the cases pending for investigation. Law & Order situation was remained peace full and all concerned are directed strictly to also maintain the law & order and harmony in future course of time in the district.
Special campaign against drug menace/drug peddlers to be continued and constant efforts are to be made to nab the kingpins/main suppliers of drugs in view to save the young generation from the menace of drugs. All SHOs & I/C PPs were also directed to enhance the detection work under NDPS Act, Mining Act & Excise Act.
Necessary directions were also given by the Superintendent of Police, District Mandi during said meeting to maintain the records in CCTNS project properly in its all modules.
During the Joint Consultancy-cum-Welfare Meeting, the Superintendent of Police , Mandi (HP) redress the all welfare issues of police personnel which were pertaining with district level whereas issues are pertaining with higher authorities for their redressal are being sent to the concerned authorities to redress these issues accordingly.
During the course of Crime Meeting all cases which are pending for investigation more than six months and more than one year are discussed comprehensively and necessary directions and guidelines are issued to all individuals to complete the investigation of these cases with utmost priority and put the challans in the courts immediately.
All cases of burglary and theft were also discussed during said crime meeting comprehensively and necessary directions/guidelines were given to all SHOs and IC PPs to nab the culprits who are in large and recover the stolen property. Investigation of all pending cases to be completed well in time and challans are to be put in the court immediately in view to reduce the pendency.
He also directed to the all Station House Officers and Inchages of all Police Posts of this district to laid nakkas regularly to nab the smugglers and detection work need to be increased. Night patrolling in the jurisdiction of their respective police station/police post is to be intensified.
He also directed that necessary steps are to be taken to decrease the Road Accidents in their respective jurisdiction and regulate the traffic properly & smoothly. Traffic checking is to be carried out regularly specially on highways.
He is also directed to all SOs, SHOs and Incharges of Police Posts of this district that sincere efforts are to be taken to deal the all cases of missing/ abduction of children.
Sh. Prem Kumar, Thkaur, IPS Superintendent of Police, Mandi (HP) also directed that to be remain alert and vigil in view of forthcoming rainy season to meet out with any natural calamity and respond immediately in case of any natural calamities to be taken place in their respective areas being the first responder on natural calamities and disasters.
CASE OF OBSTRUCTING WAY AND HURT
3. Case FIR No 136/16 Dated 06-09-16 U/S 341, 323, 34 IPC has been registered in PS Gohar on the complaint of Smt. Saukntla Devi W/O Tek Chand R/O Village Bharmohat, P.O Shilhanu, Tehsil Chachiot, District Mandi HP that on 06-09-16 at 12-15 PM Satya Devi came alongwith Durgi Devi both are the resident of same locality , obstruct her way and beat her up and she sustained injuries. ASI Om Prakash Chand I/O PS Gohar is investigating this case.
CASE OF OBSTRUCTING WAY, HURT AND MOLESTATION
4. Case FIR No. 83/16 dated 05-09-16 U/S 341, 323, 354, 34 IPC has been registered in PS Padhar on the complaint of one lady R/O Village Gahang, PO Thaltukhod, Tehsil Padhar, District Mandi, (HP) that on 04/09/16 when she was going to home in the mean time two persons namely Prem Singh @ Tayabo & Khali both are obstructed her way and Prem singh @ Tayabo outrage her modesty. ASI Joginder Singh I/O PS Padhar is investigating this case.
CASE OF RAPE AND UNDER POSCO ACT
5. Case FIR No.130/16 dated 05/09/16 U/S 376 IPC & Sec 4 Of POCSO Act has been registered in PS Karsog on the complaint of girl resident of Village Dadodhar, P.O Kao, Tehsil Karsog, District Mandi (HP) that on 21/12/15 at about 12/12.35 PM when she was alone her home in the mean time her cousin brother raped her and she became pregnant. ASI Jhabe Ram I/O PS Karsog is investigating this case.

6. Case FIR No.131/16 dated 05-09-16 U/S 341, 323 IPC has been registered in PS Karsog on the complaint of Sh. Thakur Dass S/O Sh. Devi Ram R/O Village Dhar, PO Shorsan, Tehsil Karsog, District Mandi HP that on 04-09-16 at 10.00PM when he was coming home and he reached on the way near Beenu Ram's home the mean time Beenu Ram obstructed his way & beat him up and he sustained injuries. ASI Amar Singh I/C PP Pangna is investigating this case.
CASE OF TRESSPASS, HURT AND CRIMINALINTIMIDATION
7. Case fir no 254/16 dated 06-09-16 U/S 451, 323, 504 IPC has been registered in PS Sarkaghat on the complaint of Sh. Gain Chand S/O Sh. Khajana Ram R/O Village Hawani, PO Ropri, Tehsil Sarakaghat, District Mandi (HP) that on 05/09/2016 at 08.15 PM when he was present at home then his nephew Namely Kamal Kishor @ Kaku entered in her courtyard and beat him up and he sustained injuries.. HC Kamal Kant No. 860 I/O PS Sarkaghat is investigating this case.
CASE OF ROAD ACCIDENT
8. Case FIR No. 231/16 Dated 06.09.16 U/S 279, 337 IPC has been registered in PS Sunder Nagar on the complaint of Sh. Sunil Thakur S/O Sh. Desh Raj R/O Village Kohamjhwar, PO Majhwahar, Tehsil Ghumarwin, District Bilaspur, HP that on 05-09-16 at 09.45 PM Jeep No. (HP66-4612) came very rashly from sunder Nagar side when above Jeep reached at Bhuwana in the mean time Jeep driver namely Sh. Shiv Chand S/O Sh. Inder Dev R/O Village Huran, PO Jari, Tehsil Bhuntar, District Kullu HP lost control from vehicle due to rash driving and fall downward from road and he sustained injuries. HC Rajinder Kumar No. 908 I/O PP Slapper PS Sunder Nagar is investigating this case.
CHALLANS
9. 324 Challans were issued under MV Act and Fine of Rs. 70400/- was recovered, 11 Challans were issued under COTPA Act and Fine of Rs. 1100/- was recovered and 01 Challan was issued under Mining Act during last 24 hours.
