RUN AGAINST DRUGS-2016
1. Today District Police Mandi organized 3 Kms race titled as "Run Against Drugs-2016 (male/female)" under the supervision and command of Sh. Hitesh Lakhanpal, HPS, Dy. Superintendent of Police (Hqrs.), District Mandi (HP) in view to aware the general public and save the young generation from the menace of drugs which was flagged off by Sh. C.L. Kochhar, Ld. District Session Judge, Mandi from historic Seri Manch, Mandi (HP).
On the occasion Sh. Kulbhushan Verma, HPS, Addl. Superintendent of Police, District Mandi (HP) distributed the prizes among the winners.
In "Run Against Drugs-2016 (male/female)", total 153 participants (male = 132 & female= 21) were enrolled with us & participated in said run.

CASE OF RAPE
2. Case FIR No. 134/16 dated 03/09/2016 U/S 376 IPC has been registered in P.S. Gohar on the complaint of a girl resident of Laddakh, J&K that she is running a shop of readymade garments at Manali. During the month of May, 2016 she came in connection with to install a temporary shop of readymade garment in Bhuntar fair where Bhim Singh S/O Sh. Sandhu R/O Vill. Balainda PO Lambathach Tehsil Thunag Distt. Mandi (HP) met with her and they were in contact through telephone. On 14/05/2016 Said Bhim Singh called her in his home at Balainda where he raped forcibly and thereafter he was continuously raped her without her consent last four months and also refuge to marry with her. SI Gopa Singh I/C P.P. Janjehali is investigating the case.
CASE OF NDPS ACT
3. Case FIR No. 135/16 dated 04/09/2016 U/S 20 of NDPS Act has been registered in P.S. Gohar by HC Birbal Singh No. 72 I.O. of P.P. Janjehali that on 03/09/2016 he was present along with a police party at Hailan in connection with destruction of cannabis under s special campaign launched for the eradication of cannabis/opium and during the destruction of cannabis, he found that 2615 plants of cannabis were grown/cultivated illegally in a piece of land possessed by Maya Ram S/O Sh. Daya Ram R/O Vill. Hailan PO Bagachnogi Tehsil Thunag Distt. Mandi (HP). HC Birbal Singh No. 72 is investigating the case.
CASE OF MOLESTATION
4. Case FIR No. 251/16 dated 03/09/2106 U/S 354,354A,354B IPC has been registered in P.S. Sarkaghat on the complaint of a lady resident of Basantpur area of Tehsil Sarkaghat that on 03/09/2016 she was going to her way alone to her fields, in the mean time Hem Raj S/O Sh. Hari Singh resident of same locality tried to outrage her modesty. ASI Trilok Chand I.O. of P.S. Sarkaghat is investigating the case.
CASE OF EXCISE ACT
5. Case FIR No. 252/16 dated 04/09/2016 U/S 39 of H.P. Excise Act has been registered in P.S. Sarkaghat by ASI Kulmesh Singh I.O. of P.P. Hattli that on 09.30 PM he was on patrolling along with other police officials at Bhambla and during patrolling got checked a jeep (HP37A-3623) & recovered 15 boxes (180 bottles) of country liquor from said vehicle which was driven by Dina Nath S/O Sh. Roshan Lal R/O Vill. Jawali PO Patrighat Tehsil Baldwara Distt. Mandi (HP) and he didn't produced any legal documents/permit for transporting these boxes of country liquor. ASI Kulmesh Singh I.O. of P.P. Hattli is investigating the case.
CASE OF EXCISE ACT
6. Case FIR No. 127/16 dated 03/09/2016 U/S 39 of H.P. Excise Act has been registered in P.S. Karsog by ASI Jhabe Ram I.O. of P.S. Karsog that on 03/09/2016 he was on patrolling along with other police officials at Seri Banglo and during patrolling he recovered 5259 ML country liquor from the possession of Narayan Singh S/O Sh. Bala Ram R/O Vill. Makneri PO Chauridhar Tehsil Karsog Distt. Mandi (HP). ASI Jhabe Ram I.O. of P.S. Karsog is investigating the case.
PROCEEDING U/S 174 Cr. P.C.
7. On receiving telephonic information from Sh. Bhupinder Singh R/O Vill. Mamail that a girl student of BA 1st Sem of G.D.C. Karsog who was residing along with other two girls as tenant in his house committed suicide. On this information ASI Mohan Joshi I.O. of P.S. Karsog rushed to the spot along other police officials and found that a girl committed suicide by hanging with curtain in her room. Proceeding U/S 174 Cr.P.C. carried out and postmortem of the dead body was carried out at C.H. Karsog thereafter dead body of the deceased handed over to her relatives for the final rituals.
CASE OF CRIMINAL TRESPASS, HURT AND INTIMIDATION
8. Case FIR No. 239/16 dated 03/09/2016 U/S 451,323,504,34 IPC has been registered in P.S. Balh on the complaint of Sh. Kamal Dev S/O Sh. Balak Ram R/O Sayanh PO Lohara Tehsil & Distt.Mandi (HP) that on 03/09/2016 he was working in the shop of Sh. Vidya Sagar, in the mean time Kaka R/O Tawan and his friend came there and beat him up and he sustained injuries. HC Pawan Kumar NO. 919 I.O. of P.S. Balh is investigating the case.
CASE OF ROAD ACCIDENT
9. Case FIR No. 99/16 dated 03/09/2016 U/S 279,337,304A IPC has been registered in P.S. BSL Colony Sundernagar on the complaint of SH. Narinder Pal S/O SH. Tek Chand R/O VPO Mahadev Tehsil Sundernagar Distt. Mandi (HP) that on 03/09/2016 he parked his truck at Dhanotu truck union and he was going towards PAR Dhanotu side on foot and when he reached near patrol pump, a scooty (HP31A-6134) and a dumper (HP65-5360) were going towards Sundernagar side and said dumper hit the scooty and rider of scooty namely Ram Ditta S/O Sh. Jaisi Ram R/O Vill. Chowk PO Mahadev Tehsil Sundernagar Distt. Mandi (HP) died on the spot and his wife sustained injuries. This incident took place due to rash and negligent driving by driver of Dumper namely Sarwan Kumar S/O Sh. Tiru R/O Vill. Bharjawanu PO Jugahan Tehsil Sundernagar Distt. Mandi (HP). ASI Tarsem Singh I.O. of P.S. BSL Colony Sundernagar is investigating the case.
CASE OF EXCISE ACT
10. Case FIR No. 223/16 dated 03/09/2016 U/S 39 of H.P. Excise Act has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi by ASI Hem Raj Incharge P.P. Pandoh that on 03/09/2016 he was on patrolling along with other police officials at Sayol and during the course of patrolling he recovered 12 bottles of English wine and 4 bottles of country liquor from the possession of Kamal Dev S/O Sh. Ram Singh R/O Vill. Tundla PO Dayori Tehsil & Distt. Mandi (HP). ASI Hem Raj incharge P.P. Pandoh is investigating the case.
CHALLAN
11. 356 challans were issued under M.V. Act and fine of Rs. 52,700/- was recovered and 12 challans were issued under COTPA and fine of Rs.1200/- was recovered during last 24 hours.
