During the year, 2019 the law & order situation of District Mandi remained peaceful. Mandi Police has worked delicately with the situations happened during the year, 2019 and implemented the policies of the Government as well as Police HQ Shimla accordingly letter & spirit.
Overall Crime Position.
During the year 2019, Heinous Crime i.e. Crime against persons, Crime against property and Road Accidents have been decreased as compare to the previous year, 2018. Detail is as under;-
· Under Head Murder, total 05 cases have been registered during the year, 2019 as compare to 13 cases of the previous year 2018, which shows the decrease of 160%.
· Under Head Burglary, total 48 cases have been registered during the year, 2019 as compare to 49 cases of the previous year 2018, which shows the decrease of 2%.
· Under Head Theft, total 42 cases have been registered during the year, 2019 as compare to 57 cases of the previous year 2018, which shows the decrease of 35.71%.
· Under Head Road Accidents, total 359 cases have been registered during the year, 2019 as compared to 377 cases of the previous year 2018, which shows the decrease of 5.01%.
Detection Work;-
During the year 2019, Detection work under Head ND&PS Act has been increased as compare to the previous year, 2018. Total 181 cases have been registered during the year, 2019 as compare to 156 cases of the previous year 2018, which shows the increase of 13.81%. Detail is as under;-

· During the year, 2019 special campaigns have been organised with the help of Revenue, Forest and the representatives for the destruction of cultivation of Poppy Plants as well as Cannabis plants and destroyed the same in the area of 7250 Bighas Govt. and personal land in which 09 cases have also been registered against the defaulters for the illegal cultivation as per law.
· Special efforts have been made to curb the drug abuse in this District by spreading awareness among the teenagers of the Schools and Colleges.
· Panchyat level Nasha Niwaran Smities have been of established through SHOs concerned and special drives have also been organised to detect the Narcotics Substances & drugs with the help them as well as general public.
· Meeting with District Kardar Sangh along with other religious peoples has also been conducted to curb the drug abuse, and they have been requested to make awareness in the general public through Deities.
· Mandi Police has organised De-addiction programme and identified 40 drug addict persons who have been advised to join the de-addiction programme accordingly and 05 addict persons out of them have been joined the same at de-addiction Centres' of this District.
Action under Mining Act.
During the year 2019, action under head Mining Act has been increased as compare to the previous year, 2018. Total 09 cases have been registered and 1953 Challans have been done under Mining Act during the year, 2019 as compare to 02 cases and 1276 Challans of the previous year 2018, which shows the increase of cases =350% and Challans =34.66%.
The complaints regarding the crime against women are being attended on priority basis and every policies made by the Government as well as amendments of the laws are being adhered strictly in letter & spirit. The complaints received through Online, Gudia Helpline, whatsaap and Shakti button etc. are being dealt accordingly as per law. Women Police Station Mandi is specially dealt with the complaints/ crime against women. However, 49 cases under head Rape, 91 cases of Molestation of modesty, 46 cases of domestic violence and 61 cases under head Kid/Abd. of women have been registered during the year, 2019.
Cyber crime is being detected through Technical Cell Mandi in which dedicated officials have been posted and most of cases of theft & Burglary have been worked out by using technical methods. During the year, 2019 total 126 missing mobile phones have also been traced out, for which two officials of Technical Cell have been given DGP/Disk-2019 for their commendable work. Total 59 POs have been apprehended during the year by making special efforts of PO Cell Mandi.
Special efforts have been made to reduce the road accidents for which special attention is given under action against drunken driving under Motor Vehicle Act. During the year, 2019 total 1941 Challans under Drunken Driving have been done and 609 licenses were recommended for the suspension, out of which 392 licenses have been suspended by the concerned RLA.
During the year, 2019 total 87 Graduate Constables posted in the Police Stations have been investigated 201 petty offence cases. Total 11003 Challans under Motor Vehicle Act have also been done by the Constables and 19379 Challans have been done under e-challing system during the year under report.

आबकारी अधिनियम के मामले:-
1. अभियोग संख्या 2/2020 दिनाँक 01.01.2020 अधीन धारा 39 हि.प्र. आबकारी अधिनियम के अन्तर्गत थाना सरकाघाट में स.उ.नि. राज कुमार के रुक्का पर पंजीकृत थाना हुआ कि जब यह अन्य पुलिस कर्मचारियों के साथ गस्त पर मुकाम चंदैश में मौजूद था तो श्याम देव सपुत्र श्री मनोहर लाल निवासी गांव चंदैश, डाकघर गाहर तहसील सरकाघाट जिला मण्डी के कब्जा से 570 मि.ली. अंग्रेजी शराब व 180 मि.ली. देशी शराब बरामद की । स.उ.नि. राज कुमार अन्वेषणाधिकारी सरकाघाट इस अभियोग का अन्वेषण कर रहे हैं ।
2. अभियोग संख्या 1/2020 दिनाँक 01.01.2020 अधीन धारा 39 हि.प्र. आबकारी अधिनियम के अन्तर्गत थाना सुन्दरनगर में स.उ.नि. राजेन्द्र ठाकुर प्रभारी पुलिस चौकी सलापड के रुक्का पर पंजीकृत थाना हुआ कि जब यह अन्य पुलिस कर्मचारियों के साथ गस्त पर मुकाम धवाल में मौजूद था तो एक गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर बालक राम सपुत्र श्री सुन्दर राम निवासी खनयोग, डाकघर धवाल, तहसील सुन्दरनगर जिला मण्डी के कब्जा से 5 बोतलें देशी शराब बरामद की । स.उ.नि. राजेन्द्र ठाकुर प्रभारी पुलिस चौकी सलापड इस अभियोग का अन्वेषण कर रहे हैं ।
3. अभियोग संख्या 2/2020 दिनाँक 01.01.2020 अधीन धारा 39 हि.प्र. आबकारी अधिनियम के अन्तर्गत थाना सुन्दरनगर में स.उ.नि. जगत राम प्रभारी पुलिस चौकी डैहर के रुक्का पर पंजीकृत थाना हुआ कि जब यह अन्य पुलिस कर्मचारियों के साथ गस्त पर मुकाम अलसू में मौजूद था तो एक गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर बाबू राम सपुत्र श्री मनी राम निवासी अलसू डाकघर सुन्दरनगर के कब्जा से 7 बोतलें देशी शराब बरामद की । स.उ.नि. जगत राम प्रभारी पुलिस चौकी डैहर इस अभियोग का अन्वेषण कर रहे हैं ।
4. अभियोग संख्या 3/2020 दिनाँक 01.01.2020 अधीन धारा 39 हि.प्र. आबकारी अधिनियम के अन्तर्गत थाना सुन्दरनगर में स.उ.नि. ललित कुमार अन्वेषणाधिकारी थाना सुन्दरनगर के रुक्का पर पंजीकृत थाना हुआ कि जब यह अन्य पुलिस कर्मचारियों के साथ गस्त पर मुकाम भौर में मौजूद था तो एक गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर प्रेमी देवी पत्नी स्व. श्री अमरु राम निवासी गांव भरद्वान. डाकघर कनैड तहसील सुन्दरनगर के कब्जा से 2000 मि.ली. अबैध शराब बरामद की । स.उ.नि. ललित कुमार अन्वेषणाधिकारी थाना सुन्दरनगर इस अभियोग का अन्वेषण कर रहे हैं ।
