TRAFFIC PLAN FOR SHIVRATRI

1. Local buses coming to Mandi and going back from Mandi towards Sundernagar side will be parked at Temporary Bus Stand at Bypass near Sukodi Bridge. They will drop and take passengers from this point and will not enter Mandi City.

2. Local buses coming to Mandi and going back from Mandi towards Kullu and Jogindernagar side will drop and take passengers from Behuli Bridge and will not enter Mandi City.

3. For buses coming and going from Rewalsar side only those Route Buses who have permit to enter Mandi city will be allowed to enter Mandi city.

4. No bus will not be allowed to drop and take passengers from on NH 21 stretch inside the city. Temporary bus stands at Bypass and Behuli Bridge will be used.

5. All are requested to park vehicles at Parking Only and not on road as it will lead to traffic congestion and Jams on roads. Parking is available at Bhimakali Temple, Gurdwara, Bypass, Behind BSNL Office, ITI etc. Please don not park on roads.

6. Crane will be used to tow away idle parked vehicles.

CRIME REPORT 19 FEB

HALF MARATHON RESULTS

1. Today District Police Mandi organized an open half marathon (male/female) on the eve of International Shivratri Fair 2012 under Anti Smoking Campaign launched by the District Police Mandi under COTPA which was flagged off by Sh. C.P. Pandey, IFS, Conservator Forest Mandi, from historic Seri Munch who was the chief guest on this occasion and prizes were also distributed among the winners by the chief guest. In this event 213 participants (male = 194 & female= 19) were enrolled with us out of which 213 participants (male = 194 and female=19) participated in this event.

Names of winners in male category are as under:-

(a) Sh. Rakesh Kumar R/O Vill. Gora Gaggal PO Gaggal Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi at present serving in Indian Army. Secured 1st position and awarded with cash reward of ` 21,000/-.

(b) Sh. Dinesh Kumar VPO Annu Tehsil & Distt. Hamirpuur at present seving in H.P. Police Department. Secured 2nd position and awarded with cash reward of ` 15,000/-.

Naresh Kumar S/O Sh. Bali Bhadar R/O Vill. Silahani PO Bhadrwar Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi that on 27/12/11 he was in present in his shop, in the mean time Pal Singh S/O Sh. Raj Sharma R/O Kanyana came there and beat him. ASI Om Prakash I/C PP Rewalsar is investigating the case.

CASE OF ACCIDENT

3. A case of road accident (case FIR No. 14/12 dated 18/02/12 U/S 279 IPC & U/S 187 M.V. Act) has been registered in PS Aut on the complaint of Sh. Vijay Kumar S/O SH. Bhadur Singh R/O Vill. Nagnai Tehsil Padhar Distt. Mandi that on 18/02/12 he was going from Takoli towards Mandi by a jeep (HP34D-1200) and when he reached at Dawada a truck (HP24B-4797) came very rashly, hit his jeep and sped away from the spot and thereafter said truck after reaching Aut struck again with a rock and fell down on the road. ASI Lachhi Ram is investigating the case.

4. Today a meeting with the members of the road safety club and drivers of taxis and trucks was held at PS Aut in which problem of parking of vehicles at Aut bazaar was discussed. A meeting under Community Policing Scheme was also held in PS Aut.

Sunil Kumar S/O Sher Singh R/o Salot PO & Tehsil Padhar Distt Mandi HP at present residing at Suhra Muhalla Mandi and Manish Kumar S/O Ramesh Kumar R/o H NO 116/4 Suhra Muhalla Mandi have been arrested today by ASI Brij Lal I/O PS Sadar U/S 107/151 Cr.P.C. from Bus Stand Mandi who are being produced before court of SDM Mandi.

CASE OF ACCIDENT

1. A case of road accident (case FIR No. 32/12 dated 17/02/12 U/S 279/337 IPC) has been registered in PS Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Smt. Bharti Thakur D/O Sh. Joginder Thakur R/O H. No. 154/5 Hospital Road Sarkaght Distt. Mandi that on 17/02/12 she along with her friend Banita was going  from Bari to Ghera by a scooty which went down the road after skidding on the road due to rash and negligent ridding by her friend Banita and they both sustained injuries.  ASI Sawarnroop Singh is investigating the case.

2. A case of theft (case FIR No. 33/12 dated 17/02/12 U/S 379 IPC) has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the written complaint of Sh. Luder Chand S/O Sh. Sawaru Ram R/O Vill. Kandhi  PO Saroa Tehsil Chachiot Distt. Mandi that he kept shuttering plates near PWD office Pandoh and Kapoor Singh parked the body of his tractor (HP32A-1841) at Tawa Raffi  which were stolen away by Raveen S/O Sh. Amar Nath R/O Teen Pippal Pndoh, Gian Chand S/O Sh. Brestu Ram R/O Ghar Kothi Pandoh and Puran Chand S/O Sh. Mani Ram R/O Upper Pandoh that  during the intervening night of 14-15/02/12 having total approximately value of Rs. 40,000/-. ASI Ram Lal I/C PP Pandoh is investigating the case.

4. A case of burglary (case FIR No. 35/12 dated 18/02/12 U/S 457/380 IPC) has been registered in PS Sarkaghat on the complaint of Sh. Krishan Chand S/O Sh. Tholu Ram R/O Vill. Haryali Tanda PO Bhambla Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi that during the intervening night of 17-18/02/12 some unknown culprits stolen away golden ornaments of worth Rs. 75,000/- from his house. 6. Shantosh Kumar S/O Sh. Karmu Ram VPO Dehar Tehsil S/Nagar Distt. Mandi has been arrested on 17/02/12 U/S 107/151 Cr.P.C. who is being produced before the court of SDM S/Nagar Mandi.

ROAD SAFETY CLUB MEETING

7. Today road safety club meeting was organized in PS BSL Colony S/Nagar in which about 200 students participated. They were made aware about the traffic rules and    functioning of police station. Similarly, 50 students of DAV Public Sr. Sec. School Nerchowk visited the PS Balh and they were made aware about traffic rules and signals and followed by the refreshment.

Dhanrashi PO Sadhot Tehsil Sarkaghat that on 16/2/12 at about 10.AM she was crossing Dhanrashi, in the mean time a Scooter No. HR-4217 came from Sadhot side very rashly and negligently and hit her. She sustained injuries. Case is being investigating by HC Amrit Lal No 413.

Tandi PO Tihri Tehsil Sadar Mandi that on 16/02/12 at about 7.30 PM she was coming back from  Tihri Bazaar along with her husband , in the mean time Shesh Ram & Nihal Chand S/o Sh. Noop Ram obstructed her way and tried to outrage her modesty and also beaten of them. Case is being investigating by HC Hari Singh No. 407 I/O P.S Padhar.

Noop Ram R/o VPO Tihari Tehsil Sadar Mandi that on 16/02/12 at about 9 PM he along with his family member were present at their father shop than Lal Chand and Het Ram entered the shop and beaten  them. Thereafter, Pawan, Tek Chand and Hukam also came there and beaten them again. They all sustained injuries. Case is being investigating by HC Hari Singh No. 407 I/O P.S Padhar.

6. A case of criminal trespass, rioting and hurt (case FIR No. 17/12 dated 17/02/12 U/S 451/147/149/323 IPC) has been registered in P.S Padhar on the complaint of Sh. Shukar Deen S/o Sh. Masher  Deen R/o Badoun PO Kataoula Tehsil Sadar Mandi that today about 11 AM he was present in his house, in the mean time Ishmile, Mustu , Juku Ali, Kuni, Noor Bibi , Noor Jamal, Fakara, Musam Ali, Barkat Ali and Richhu entered in his courtyard and beaten him up with his son. Hari Dass, Bhanga Devi W/o Sh. Om Chand, Vinod Kumar S/o Sh. Om Chand and Tara Chand R/o Sadhot obstructed his way and beaten him up. He sustained injuries. Case is being investigating by HC Narpat Ram I/O P.S Sarkaghat.

9. A case of theft (case FIR No. 18/12 dated 16/02/12 U/S 380 IPC ) has been registered in P.S Sundernagar on the compliant of Sh. Lal Chand S/o Sh. Chatter Singh R/o Gugyas PO Saikothi Tehsil Churah P.S Tissa Distt. Chamba at present worker at Kol Dam that today Khem Raj S/o Sh. Thakur Lal R/o Liyunda PO Saikothi Tehsil Tehsil Churah P.S Tissa Distt. Chamba has stolen Rs. 40,000/- from his room, during the night of 14/02/12. Case is being investigating by ASI Shanti Sawroop I/C PP Slapper.

Bilaspur, who was wanted U/S 138 of NI Act and involved in 4 cases  i.e Nand Lal V/s Davesh Chandel, Ram Prakash V/s. Davish Chandel, Roshan Lal V/s Davesh Chandel and Bakshi Ram V/s Davesh Chandel.

11. 50 school students of King George Senior Secondary School Nerchowk visited the P.S Blah to learn about road traffic rules and signal.

Mandi stolen away 16 Nos. iron plates of M/S Perfect Farma having approximately cost of Rs. 36,000/- from Koot. ASI Ram Krishan I.O. of P.S. Gohar is investigating the case. The case property has been recovered and accused arrested.

C. today at 4 AM from Chailchowk who are being produced today before the court of the SDM Gohar.

CASE OF ARREST OF ARMY DESERTOR

4. Today HHC Bhuri Singh No. 337 and Const. Rafique Mohammad No. 692 of P.S. Padhar arrested Ravinder Singh S/O Sh. Kishan Singh R/O Sajehar PO Nauhli Tehsil Jogindernagar (HP) who was an army deserter and is being handed over to authority of Indian Army at Holta Tehsil Palampur Distt. Kangra for further action.

A case of criminal trespass, hurt, mischief, insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace and criminal intimidation (case FIR No. 24/12 dated 16/02/12 U/S 452/323/427/504/506/34 IPC) has been registered in P.S. J/Nagar on the complaint of Sh. Prakash Chand S/O Sh. Jahru Ram R/O Vill. Badiyar PO Bhargaon Tehsil J/Nagar Distt. Mandi (HP) that on 15/02/12 he closed the shop of liquor, in the mean time Nag R/O Chalarag abused him. After some time he went to his home and at about 10.45 PM Nag along with his son Sheellu, Neelu S/O Sh. Dharam Singh and other 6/7 persons came in his house and beat him up along with his another associate Sanjay and both of them sustained injuries. ASI Subhash Chand I/C PP Bassi is investigating the case.

CASE OF SEIZURE OF LEOPARD SKIN

6. A case of offences under wild life protect Act (case FIR No. 30/12 dated 16/02/12 U/S 51 of Wild Life Protection Act) has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi by SI Salim Qureshi I/O of P.S. Sadar Mandi that he laid a nakka along with other police officials at Sukki bain, in the mean time two persons came on foot from Pandoh side towards Mandi with a bag and during the course of checking of their bag he recovered two pieces of skin of leopard. Later on they were identified as Moti Ram S/O Sh. Laje Ram R/O Vill. Khalra Distt. Mandi and Munish R/O Upper Pandoh who were arrested in this case. SI Slim Qureshi is investigating the case.

7. A case of criminal breach of trust (case FIR No. 44/12 dated 16/02/12 U/S 409 IPC) has been registered in P.S. Balh on the complaint of Sr. Supdt. Post Office Mandi Division Mandi that Sh.Hamender Gupta S/O Sh. Prakash Chand Chauhan Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi Gramin Dak Sewak of Branch Chunahan misappropriated govt. money deposited in the shape of RDs. amounting to Rs. 14830/-. SI Chhota Ram of P.S. Balh is investigating the case.

VISIT TO POLICE STATION BY SCHOOL CHILDERN

Baroi PO Paunta Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi obstructed her way and beat her up. HC Baldev Singh I.O. of PP. Hattli is investigating the case.

CASE OF RIOTING, CRIMINAL TRESPASS

A case of criminal trespass, rioting, insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace and criminal intimidation (case FIR No. 31/12 dated 15/02/12 U/S 447/451/147/149/504/506 IPC) has been registered in P.S. Sarkaghat Distt. on the complaint of Sanjay Kumar S/O Sh. Prabhu Ram R/O Vill. Chandesh Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi that Ishwar Dass and his family members forcibly occupied their land and also constructing a structure of bamboo with the intention to grab their land and they also threatened him and his family. HC Narpat Ram No. 886 I.O. of P.S. Sarkaghat is investigating the case.

VISIT OF SCHOOL CHILDERN TO POLICE STATION

11. Today 50 students of Govt.Sr. Sec. School visited the P.S. Sarkaghat and local police of P.S. Sarkaghat to know about the working of Police Station i.e. registration of FIR etc and they were also taught about the adverse effects of the drugs and alcohol etc.

Act during the last 24 hours. 15 Challans were carried out under Anti Smoking Campaign launched by the District Police Mandi under COTPA and fine of Rs. 15,00/- was recovered under COPTA Act during last 24 hours and 2 challans were carried under Mining Act during last 24 hours.

CASE OF CHEATING AND FORGERY

1. FIR NO. 42/12 dated 14.02.12 u/s 420, 467, 471 IPC has been registered in PS Balh on complaint of Sh. Dharam Dass s/o Sh Basakhu Ram r/o vill. Kasarla, PO Ratti working as Manager Himgiri Hire Purchase Ltd. That on 24.08.11 Duni Chand S/o Sh Dutt Ram Vill. Ghaur PO Riyur applied for finance of a vehicle. Late on the documents of the vehicle were found forged. Case is being investigated by ASI Om Prakash I C PP Rewalsar.

CASE OF TRESPASS, HURT

2. Case FIR No. 43/12 dated 15.02.12 u/s 451, 323, 504 IPC has been registered in PS Balh on complaint of Smt. Rukmanni Devi w/o Shersingh r/o Gaggal that today at 10 am Smt Pammi Devi w/o Madanlal enetered in her courtyard and beaten her up. Case is being investigated by HC Balbir Singh.

CRIME REPORT 14 FEB

MANDI HALF MARATHON AND 11KM RACE

1. District Police Mandi is going to organize open half marathon for male category and 11 KM run for female category  on 19/02/11 at 9.30 AM under Anti Smoking Campaign launched by the District Police Mandi under  COTPA which will be flagged off from Seri Munch Mandi.

            Entry fee for the participation in Open Half Marathon & 11 KM run is Rs. 50/- per participant and Entry Form will be available at all Police Stations of Mandi District and at all Police Lines of the H.P.

            In male category (open half marathon) 1^st prize = Rs. 21,000/-, 2^nd prize  = Rs. 15,000/- and   3^rd prize = Rs. 11,000/- will be given whereas in  female category (11 KM run) 1^st prize = Rs. 15,000/-, 2^nd prize  = Rs. 11,000/- and   3^rd prize = Rs. 8,000/- will be given. Participants securing 4^th place to 10^th place will be  given prize of Rs. 1000/- each in both categories. 

            All participants of open half marathon and 11 KM run will also be examined medically on 18/02/11 at Police Lines Mandi from 10 AM to 5 PM and on 19/02/12 at 7.30 AM onwards at Seri Manch Mandi.

CASE OF NARCOTICS

2. A case of NDPS Act (case FIR No. 17/12 dated 13/02/12 U/S 20 of NDPS Act) has been registered in P.S. Sundernagar by ASI Ram Lal that on 13/02/12 he was on patrolling along with other police at Bhawana and during the course of patrolling he recovered 65 Gram cannabis (charas) from the possession of Devinder Kumar S/O Sh. Chet Ram R/O Bhawana PO Jarol Tehsil S/Nagar Distt. Mandi. Accused has been arrested and further investigation of the case is on progress.

3. A case hurt (case FIR No. 14/12 dated 13/02/12 U/S 323/325 IPC) has been registered in P.S. Padhar on the written complaint of Smt. Krishna Devi W/O Sh. Hari Dass vill. Jhankidhar PO Kataula Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 18/02/12 at 09.30 she was coming back to her home on the way Guddi Devi W/O Sh. Tulsi Ram Vill. Jankidhar PO Kataula beat her up. ASI Charan Singh I.O. of P.S. Padhar is investigating the case.


CASE OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE


4. Smt. Sarla Devi W/O Sh. Khem Chand R/O Vill. Mehar PO Tandu Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi reported in P.S. Padhar that her husband Khem Chand used to beat her up and her children since last one year. Her report has been lodged under Domestic Violence Act which is being sent to CDPO Kunnu for initiating further inquiry in the matter.


CASE OF THEFT


5. A case of theft (case FIR No. 29/12 dated 14/02/12 U/S 379 IPC) has been registered in P.S. Sadar Mandi on the complaint of Sh. Jai Pal Singh S/O Sh. Sarwan Singh R/O H. No. 95 VPO Bijani Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi that on 13/02/12 he parked his car (HP33C-3335) outside of his house and today he found that his vehicle was not present at the place of parking and he suspects that some unknown culprits stolen away his above vehicles. Efforts are afoot to nab the culprits and recover the stolen property. SI (Prob) Sandeep Chaudhary is investigating the case.

6. A case of wrongful restraint and hurt (case FIR No. 28/12 dated 13/02/12 U/S 341/323 IPC) has been registered in PS Sadar Mandi on the written complaint of Sh. Nand Lal, District Courts Mandi that on 13/02/12 his nephew was admitted in children ward to  Z.H. Mandi and  at about 08.25 PM he reached at the main gate of the Medical Ward, he requested to Home Guard constable that he wants to meet with his nephew but all of sudden HHG Madhav Ram slapped & kicked him and he sustained injuries. HC Inder Singh No. 7 I.O. of P.P. City Mandi is investigating the case.

Dehari PO & Tehsil Karsog Distt. Mandi that on 13/02/12 Payare Lal R/O Vill. Kawagra, Gian Chand S/O Sh. Labha Ram R/O Vill. Lathehari, Monu S/O Sh. Sudama Ram obstructed his way and beat him up. HC Chhaju Ram No. 60 I. O. of P.S. Karsog is investigating the case.

8. A case of criminal trespass, molestation, hurt and criminal intimidation (case FIR No. 22/12 dated 14/02/12 U/S 451/354/323/506 IPC) has been registered in P.S. Karsog on the complaint of Smt. Rara Wati W/O Sh. Tilak Raj R/O Vill. Bhageal PO Kao Tehsil Karsog Distt. Mandi that on 12/02/12 at about 6 PM she was present in her kitchen, in the mean time her younger brother-in-law Khem Raj S/O Sh. Mathu Ram entered in her courtyard and tried to outrage her modesty. ASI Sohan Lal I.o. of P.S. Karsog is investigating the case.

10. Accused Gopi Chand S/O Sh. Gulisharan R/O Chamakwali PO Rajwari Tehsil Sadar Distt. Mandi has been arrested today by HC Kewal Singh No. 20 I.O. of P.S. Balh  who was wanted in case FIR No. 39/12 dated 12/02/12 U/S 451/323/504/506 IPC of P.S. Balh who is being produced before the Ld. Court.

11. Mohinder Singh S/O Sh. Ram Singh R/O Vill. Goart PO Sayoh Tehsil Sarkaghat Distt. Mandi has been arrested U/S 107/151 Cr.P.C. who is being produced before court of SDM Sarkaghat.
